So my house flooded. Yeah, kickass. Last Friday my fucking house took four inches of water. My carpet, my furniture, my desktop, and various and sundry other possessions all soaked and ruined. And the joy of it is that my house is flooded because the county has steadfastly refused to put in adequate drainage in my neighborhood, and the piss-poor drainage we have is blocked due to runoff from the tennis courts they're building in the middle of nowhere. My insurance adjustor shows up tomorrow, we'll see what happens.

It was one of the most hellish nights I've had in the last couple of years. My neighbor saved my son's life, and Ulu, the boy, and myself are all three hurting. This sucks.

Mmm, irony. I guess I shouldn't have given you shit. North Dakota still sucks.

We got 7 inches of rain and there was no drainage, so wet house. Stupid house.

We have gotten close to 11 inches here in the last 4 days. My road is under water and my neighbor has water up to his porch.

If you need anything, I'll do what I can...you ain't that far away

sorry about the flooding but what did you mean your neighbor saved your son? Hopefully the people (you and your fam) are alright. screw the house you can replace it.
I had a few inches last year in our floods, it blows and it costs money but as long as no one gets hurt you'll survive.

Yeah, they're saying the river is going to crest again... possibly above the level it hit earlier... 42+ feet. :panic:

My wife, who is drastically underweight, was carrying Poot and got carried under by the current. She wasn't strong enough to hold on to the boy and he got carried away. Luckily my neighbor was able to grab him and her and drag them across. Thank God he was there.
