After downloading the last motoGP race, grabbed a monitor cable (aka bought one and got my job to reimburse me...) and hooked it up to my LCD... the download quality was good and it looked fucking great! This is an awesome solution since I don't get the speed channel...

Clever...unfortunately I have neither an lcd tv or a laptop. Eurosport coverage ftw though!!
On the last couple races theyve been covering the ad breaks from eurosport with the commentary from bbc so it doesn't miss a beat. :dthumb:

dude that's what I do ALL THE TIME! got a wireless keyboard, and my laptop is perminatly hooked up to the tv...

32" Wide screen.

it'll be nicer when I get back to the states and hook up my desktop to my 50"

Yeah dude I got the full vid from that thing you told me about back in the day on :twf:... full eurosport vids... all race, no commercials... shit is awesome.

And that race was incredible for the first 2/3... lots of excitement... then mostly people just hanging on.

yeah I watched it live on motogp.com... but my connection kept fuck'n up... if it does the same bullshit next race... i'm gonna just watch the recording the next day... the only issue is getting into the site with out seeing who won splattered all over the front page...

That's what I do too. Hook it up to my 32" Sony LCD. Much nicer! Clear picture too.

for some reason things are slightly stretched out for me... I think it's cause the video card I have in my laptop sucks... should have gone with the Nvida for like $200 more...

I'll be getting a new desktop when I get back to the states though

You'll note that my HTPC is turned around backwards cause my wireless keyboard and mouse (yes, both of them) took a shit... I should get the replacements in the mail next week.

ok well i see a 360 in the picture, cant those things handle media servers as well? with my PS3 i can download movies to my laptop and transcode them on the fly wireless to the playstation. took a while to figure out all the bugs but it works fricken badass now.

yep thats what i do, since now ps3 can finally play divx.
I'm pretty sure 360 can act as a media server too... can't it browse the web too? the ps3 if u hook up a wireless kb/mouse works pretty much like a media center computer.
maybe the 360 doesnt have wireless built in?

i have a usb hub under our coffee table for the mouse, keyboard, one controller charge line, and my old ps2 eyetoy that now sees use as a webcam/microphone

but yeah i just looked it up and i think wmp11 and tvversity ought to be able to stream media to the 360

You giving classes? I haven't been able to get that shit straight yet!

Oh and on theme..that looks great Chris! I've had my laptops hooked up for awhile now with wireless keyboard and mouse. I finnally broke down and bought the bluetooth keyboard for the PS3 for $60. I'm happy I did because it has a touch pad on it instead of a mouse which works better for me as I'm on the couch in that room.

Just get a media PC... much more versatile than the Xbox or PS3...

Emulation for one... Though that's what I have my Xbox for... Video editing for another... And why doesn't Office application work? I use that shit on my computer all the time...

That's a nice setup you've got, OSP.

It's not only that I got it hooked up, but more the quality of the video that pleasantly surprised me. It was a 350MB video and even on the big screen it looked fuckin' mint. This is probably how I'll watch all of this season's races.

VLC player and a high speed connection FTW!

My wireless keyboard/mouse should be arriving sometime next week, so my setup will get a little cleaner... no more of my PC being turned around and wires hanging everywhere...
