Delay in rebuilding WTC

NEW YORK – Construction of several ground zero office towers could be put off for decades because of the failing real estate market, the site's owners said Thursday, citing an analysis that projected one skyscraper might not be built and occupied until 35 years after Sept. 11.

you wouldnt believe all the politics down there, I think there are over 20 different construction groups and city agencies working there and its a nightmare. The regional safety manager of skanska asked us to put in a bid to have a medical office on site (they love us so we would get whatever we wanted) but we turned it down. We dont realy have the manpower to cover it since its prety much 24 hrs a day and we dont feel like dealing with all the city agencies. DEP is a major PITA and the others are worse. Besides were doing realy well with the 2 sites here and its being noticed :)
