my buddy is selling his car an im thinking about picking it up, its a 2003 chevy blazer extreme with 60,000 miles, its in perfect shape with two sets of rims, stock and a set of 20's

i told him i would match what the dealer was going to give him, they told him 7,000 and he said the highest he would sell it to me for was 7,500, but he wants to take it to the dealer to show them what it looks like and give me that price, he bought it 4 years ago for 17,000 ish so in 4 years he lost 10,000 thats crazy

but its about 1k lower then kbb and the other sites have it priced at

so anyone have any input on these cars, ideas if its a fair price

they said its worth about 8,600 private party price

No fucking way a dealer gives him 7 for it. I'd steer clear. Blazers are garbage. I know b/c I just got ride of one.

I've owned 3 chevy's in my life... well 2 Chevy's and 1 GMC... all garbage... I had an 86 Blazer, 88 S10, and a 94 Jimmy... all crap. none lasted over a year for me... now i'm not the easiest on cars... but I do all the routine maintenance and take care of them... in contrast I've owned 5 Toyota's... every one was running strong when I sold them... and I only sold them because I convinced myself I needed something else... twice it was to switch to a car and once to switch to the Jimmy. the others were sold to my family and they're still running them today.

I'd say get yourself an older Pickup or Runner... and have fun... they're nearly unbreakable... and even if you do break them... they're easy to work on and parts are plentiful!

You can find a decent Frontier for ~$5000 and they hold up to anything.

$7G's wouldn't be bad with both sets of rims.

Our used car manager said a balpark trade number would be $6000-6500.

That means it's on the lot for about $8g's
