yesterday. i had an argument with some gravel on 206. i got out without a scratch back's a little twigged but no biggie. trashed my right mirror, bent the rear brake around backwards, rashed the right fairing and cracked the upper about four inches also managed to bust the front master cylinder connector which i didnt find untill i was riding home and noticed DOT 3 all over my shit  i have all i need to get her rolling again on order. already unbent the brake and replaced the slider. im just looking at options for making her pretty again

:idk: they all look good. Sorry you went down, glad you weren't hurt any worse.
West gets my vote, I've always liked their clean, uncomplicated look... plus.. how many bikes do you see like that!!
Movistar is my 2nd vote.

Wow, sorry dave...
I'd go with Repsol Black if it were me. I've ALWAYS wanted a repsol edition 600rr. But my second choices would be...
-Ghost Flames
-Konica Minolta

Never seen a west replica and it looks good. so thats my vote.
Replica's aren't to popular around here, although there are getting to be a few monster Kawi's.

Nice cycle makes decent fairings. They're giving away a set on another forum I'm a member of. Personally, I don't see how they justify a higher cost. :idk: BTW most of these companies will customise your fairings if you want. Change the colors around, make it "Playstation 3", turn the "Spiderman" one into "Venom", change the sponsers...whatever. Last I knew they charged $30 extra or so.

Man, you are quick with that link aren't you? I had a similar problem and it ended up being MY FAULT because I hadn't drilled out the "arc" for my frame sliders and it was pushing up on the fairing making everything fit funny. I'm not saying that it's impossible that it was made wrong but :idk:. I did notice two or three guys say they fit perfect and two guys say they had problems. The thing is, there are probably another 100 on a board that size that used them but won't bother to post. Any marketer will tell you, "a happt customer may tell one or two people, an angry customer tells everybody." Also, BW is on 20+ forums as a vendor so it doesn't surprise me that he isn't answering all of there pms. One guy was pissed that they weren't using "high grade" decals on fairings that cost $350 painted.... Shit, I paid $100 for the decal kit for my old body...

Tough choice, there's some really nice kits in that lineup. My only word of caution on these would be be mindful of where you park. If you park in direct sunlight a lot during the day, they WILL fade quickly.

Um... mine hasn't faded and it's parked outside, I don't have a garage.

good shit. Due to filthy theives in the area mine almost never gets parked outside for more than thirty minutes or so. Hey tiggs, did your kit come with heat shielding? Did you add any? Any melty issues?

Well in all seriousness, could be your location (the friend who had one that faded lives in South Florida and her bike was parked outside everyday at her office).

All I'll say, good luck with the fairings - it's like choosing toothpaste, too many choices.
I'm not a fan for a few reasons - most of all they are cluttered with pictures and *stickers*. I'm one that believes in marketing for someone that sponsors you rather than being a fan-boi.
Tigger and I have gone around and around - and what it will come down to, you get what you pay for. There are some good with the bad, good luck being with the good.

Nah, my dumbass didn't put the shielding on at all because I got all happy about installing it. Then I tried to put it on after the fact and didn't prep the areas very well... anyway, my fairings don't have any shield on them, so it has warped a little bit but nothing that bad. Hey, a little story for you. When I bought my 2000 Busa, I had the Yosh 4 into 1 exhaust installed. A few days later, I'm stuck in traffic on my way to work and I start smelling something strange... My plastic was on fire! That's my problem with the cry babies that say the Chinese plastic melts... so does the fucking OEM stuff if it's not shielded or if you incorrectly installed your exhaust.
I've read all the complaints about this stuff and I know that a lot of them boil down to dumb asses not installing things correctly. I had a hell of a time installing OEM body panels on my 'Busa, what a pain in the ass!!! Most of these guys and indeed most guys in general have never had ALL of their fairing off and re-installed them. I've seen the windshield of a 05 GSXR1000 bring a veteran auto mechanic almost to his knees! People get out there not knowing what they are doing. When they have problems it must be the part's fault.
My biggest problem with this stuff was that it didn't always use the same fasteners that the oem stuff does, so I had to make a trip to Lowes.
Oh hey, I am going to pm you, I'm getting another kit and I may be able to get you a better deal.
cool cool. I seriously doubt ill have major issues with it. Starting to wonder if it wouldnt be worth my time to pull the system off and get it powdercoated though. Trying to sell some things so i can have the bike payed off soon. Then i think im gonna get stupid with it. Is it wrong that im almost giddy that this happened?

#1 keep this under your hat. Chances are none of the other guys know im looking at this since they dont really come on here. #2 i have a couple of ideas that would avoid painting the tank. but if nessesary yeah i'll do it

I would get a kit but my bike uses a full metal tank (I'm sure they could make a mold to go over it) and they dont come with a rear seat cover.
I want the Repsol one but without a matching tank mold, getting my tank painted to match might not turn out well.
There's a bunch of different sellers on ebay. Ya'll think some of them are the same seller?
