My cat (long haired mainecoon) was begging to go outside... I told her it was raining but she insisted on going out anyway so I opened the door and she bolted out and skidded to a halt once she realized it was raining. She turned around and glared at me (like it was my idea to go outside) then walked away.

Last I saw of her at the time, she was headed into the hedge next to my house (probably go go under the trees and get out of the rain). Fast forward about 30 minutes later and I hear her meyowing under my window so I let her in... She managed to get burdock stuck to her tail and was twitching it trying to show me she was pissed off - she twitched her tail too far and it stuck to her ass. She must have thought something grabbed her tail because she proceeded to ricochet off the walls like a furry pinball until I managed to catch her and freed her tail from its sorry state. I started laughing so hard I could hardly breathe and the cat just sat there and glared at me.

I'll be sleeping with one eye open tonight.

Be afriad. Be very afraid. Maine Coons are big enough to suffocate a grown man with very little effort.

Hide your sneakers....they likely won't have any laces by morning if you leave them out. It probably would be a good idea to stash your pillows until bedtime too....wouldn't want her to gag a nasty hairball all over your pillow at bedtime. :lmao:

It sucks to KNOW that revenge is coming....and there isn't much you can do to avoid/prevent it.

Yours got attacked by one? Hell, mine killed one and brought it to my mother as a present a while back. I only wish I was there to see it in person..

Cats do some pretty funny shit. I wish I could remember a good story to share, but I got nothin for now.

No more cats. My last one used to piss on my clothes while Ulu and I had sex. One day he marked two sets of brand new, freshly dry-cleaned, never worn yet BDU's. After that I dropped him off at the Korean restaurant. No more cats.

When we moved here the cat got sick in the car on the way. She was nasty, so we put her in the shower (warm water, of course) and shut the door. Hated to, but she was a mess. Now, every time the shower turns on and she's nearby she takes off like a shot and hides.

My husband bathes our maine coon now and then. She doesn't like it, but he just sits in there in his bathing suit with her and talks to her the whole time and she does fine. No scratching, just crying like a baby

Taken this morning (had to get a picture before she got pissed and walked away ). Momma kitty was a Maine Coon and Daddy kitty was 3/4 Maine Coon and 1/4 something else (hence the coloring). She needs to be brushed but we're waiting until the mud dries up before we even dare.

I've nicknamed her "The Fluffy Terrorist" (though my wife is less than thrilled about that one )

that's an awesome story. We had a Himalayan that would give "the look" when he thought his suffering was your fault.

Speaking of burr docks our toy poodle gets them constantly, the other day she got one on her foot and went to scratch. Yep foot wound up stuck to face. Pathetic yet somehow hilarious at the same time.

We don't let ours outside for that very reason. Her fur requires too much maintenance as it is. We don't need to be adding outdoor problems into the equation.

the last time we refused to let her outside when she asked I ended up replacing the curtains in the mud room... guess the cause.

We have never let ours outside, so they don't feel entitled to it I guess. They like to go out on the balcony at the apartment, but they get scared easy and run back in. Scardy Cats.

she was born a barn cat but as a kitten she adopted us (cats don't have owners, they have attendants, hence the wording) so she has always been somewhat outdoors when she wants to.

That's kinda how I found one of the cats my best friend adopted.. she was initially hiding out inside the fairing of my old F2, but when I went to fire up the bike, she ran out and hid in the undercarriage of a nearby minivan. :panic: I was patient and caught her when she came back out, and now she has a nice, proper home.

Don't ask how I got her to my friend's house (being as I was riding the bike that day)...

Nah.. I emptied my backpack at work (I worked part time at CycleGear at the time), put her in the backpack (she was just a kitten, so she fit just fine  ), and rode the mile or two to my friend's house. She wasn't freaked out by the experience at all. She's the sweetest cat, too... and for humble beginnings, she's quite the little diva now, haha.

Haha, well at the time I was living in an apartment and being a college student couldn't really afford the pet deposit.. my parents already had 2 cats and 3 dogs.. so she went to my best friend and ended up being named Ophelia.
