I really wish I was better with come backs. I always think of things a day later!

I'm at my son's ballgame last night. Drove there straight from work on the bike. I'm sitting on the bleachers with helmet and jacket beside me. One of the dads from my son's team gets there late. After sitting there a few minutes he starts asking me questions.

"Did you ride a motorcycle?" ME: Yes

"All by yourself?" ME: Yes

"Did you change gears and EVERYTHING?" ME: Yes

:lmao: I couldn't help but laugh, he wasn't trying to be mean. He was flabbergasted and did NOT UNDERSTAND. I am thinking he probably doesn't get out of his small town much. :lmao:

I told my husband the answer to question number 3 should have been, "They have more than one gear???"

Cute. I get the kids asking me a lot if that is my bike, especially the little girls.
Don't feel bad, I'm always a day late with comebacks too.

There is a 3 year old girl whose brother is on the team too. I adore her!! She is so funny! She asked me last night if I rode a 4 wheeler! Last year she kept poking my gear and saying, "This is boys!"

I'm not getting why someone would ask "all by yourself?". I mean how that doesn't even make any sense.

Was the guy semi-retarded?

well, don't you know women just can't do some things by themselves. they need a man around to help make sure they don't get hurt or lost.

ok gals, that was complete sarcasm.

I get that at work sometimes- walk in carrying all my gear only to hear "Oh, did you ride today"?

I like to reply with a couple of classics:

"Hell no- motorcycles are dangerous. Those things kill people." (with a totally straight face)

"Nope, I just like to be really safe in my car."

"No, why?" (with a puzzled expression)

Some people just ask stupid questions. :idk:

yeah, a couple years ago we had some pretty good weeks during the winter so I rode the bike as long as the roads were clear even if it was freezing I rode. I drove in because it was snowing. you know it, the first person I see ask me if I rode in. I just told him he was a fucking idiot and walked off.

My son used to say that to people when he wore his helmet into the store when he rode with me.

People use to talk to me about "the girl riding a motorcycle" thing, but now that the bike has spikes all over it, they leave me alone. :)
