This is the time it took me to buy a new car and I mean BRAND NEW, something I've never had before with 4 wheels.

Last Monday night I picked up the car I've been drooling over for the past year and a half.

Here is what I was driving. I still have it in case anyone in my family needs a spare car.

Because of this, you can't drive with the windows down or you get some major fumes.

Here is what I'm driving now!!

Ah, the old Probe. The best car that Mazda ever made. I had a 1st generation Probe and the damn thing was near indestructible like a Terminator.

Actually when I bought the car I worked at Morton Salt so you aren't too far off.

Yes, that is just the front yard. We have about 2 acres, 1 in the front and 1 in the back.

I had an 89 back in 95-98, then traded it for this one (it's a 95) since too many things started to go wrong with it.

New things are nice things. :rockout:

My vehicle is 21 years old now. Of course I've almost rebuilt everything mechanical on her and gave her a new engine that I rebuilt. She'll live as long as I can support her. LOL

Mine will be 20 years old this week. The p/u bed looks the back of RD's old car. It has 283,000 miles and still had the original motor. Everything else has been replaced, though.

Congrats on the new car.

It will definitely move, kind of throws you back in the seat a little :) I think the ΒΌ mile time is around 15 something. 0-60mph is just under 7 seconds. Not bad for a family sedan. It has 243hp and 241ft.lbs. of torque. It's tuned so it's much more linear than the WRX or STI, they are more raw and hard hitting into the turbo. This car is very smooth so I'm sure one could get into trouble quickly because you can be do 80 or 100 mph before you know it.

No shit. Especially with the new liquid stuff they throw down. They say it's even more corrosive than the salt. My family is here and I'm a big baby, so I won't be moving anywhere. And our rent is really cheap!

My hubby's outback was pretty fun this past winter. He made me take pictures of him going in and out our drive way. :idk: The white looked nice and there were plenty around. I just didn't want the taupe interior.

Ours is a couple of years old now... it came with the black and grey interior which really looks good.

My buddy was an autobroker and went to auctions to buy cars (here in Georgia). I remember him telling me they would ship cars in from Ohio, Michigan, etc and sell them for practically nothing because the cars were so fucked up from the salt. They just gave it a fresh wax job, paint the wheel wells and let the rust buckets roll.
