It's a running joke from TWF days. The admin there started the rep system up and people actually used it seriously for awhile. It's meant to give a good or bad response to someone's post. Well this being the internet, people like to fuck off. It quickly became a way for members to trade porn pictures and see who could get the highest possible score. Well neg reps were pretty much unheard of and not many people did it. Well someone asshole, decided since the system was anonymous and the people of TWF were adamant about "signing" reps so you know who sent them, he would take this system and fuck it over. He started neg repping people for the fun of it and signing the neg reps as the "neg rep fairy." Well this seriously pissed off the positive rep people tremedously and none of them could figure out who this was. Well other people thought this "neg rep fairy" was hilarious, so they began doing the same thing and we had lots of neg rep fairies running around the board pissing off the general population. One of which moronically neg repped the admin, who can see who is repping and got called out for all the neg repping and took the blame for all of it. Reps really met their downfall when a bunch of users started using the system to hit on this one member while signing the reps with one specific users name. This pissed off that members significant other to no end, which we all hated and thought was hilarious. This got the significant other banned and pretty much brought the rep system at the old forum to a disastorous end. I vowed never to use the system here, but in good TWFix fashion. No one here is taking it seriously and we are just fucking off with it.
