what's the best way to de-stripe the rims? This shit isnt comming off w/ my fingernail, and i decided i didnt want to scar the damn wheels for life (i.e. razorblade isnt going to work either).

For my next try, im thinking of going 2 ways. Either get something that will not scratch the rims (i'm thinking an oranbge peeler) and spend 5 hours scraping the shit off and rubbing the glue off, or instituting chemical warfare and seeing if getting some goo-gone or some other solvant may work.

Or should i just say F it and cover them up with something else?

WD-40 works best on sticker type stuff versus goo-gone but I'd just watch using either on your rims and getting close to your tire.

i use a heat gun and then after the bulk is off, just clean it up with some 3M adhesive remover!
