So now that I am getting settled into a small town of 800 people in the middle of no where Alaska, I have made several trips to get supplies like groceries, tools and random things. Thanks to my randomness, I feel that I may have changed a young girls life today. The cashier was maybe 17 or 18?

Today while in town I met a guy on Craigslist to buy a mountain bike off of him. While waiting in the parking lot of Target, I decided to stroll in and buy a couple magazines to kill some time. While doing that I realized I should probably grab a box of rubbers to have around in case the moons line up this summer. While in that area I opted to try some stool softner since 7,800 of driving and eating gas station food has annihilated my body. To make things worse, while looking around the register I realized I could use some breath mints and stain remover.

It wasn't until I had placed everything on the conveyor belt that I noticed what the fuck I was buying. After noticing the seemingly nervous cashier, I decided to ease up the mood by saying " Yeah, it is gonna be a wild weekend " and the cashier chuckled in that really loud / uncomfortable manner while turning red. I fear she may have thought I was actually serious. I grabbed my bags and said thanks in a super positive tone before walking out the door.

all 799 other people in town know what you're up to. You might not care now - but eventually you will.

This was in the town of Wasilla, you know....where Palin lives. My little town of 800 people still lies in wait.

Diesel World... Magazine about diesel trucks.

You should have bought some large garbage bags, some zip ties, a shovel, and a barbie doll.

You should have opened with "I'm on my way to Sarah Palin's house... "

THEN went with "Gonna be a rough weekend"

You should see how the young female cashier looked at me this weekend when I bought a plastic tarp, some silk rope, whipped cream, and strawberry syrup. No memory cards for my camera this time thanks, I have plenty.

Luckily for her I didn't pick up my combination lock and garbage bags until after I bought the bike.

You should have opened with "I'm on my way to Sarah Palin's house... "

THEN went with "Gonna be a rough weekend"

I will learn to perfect the art of shock factor, I have much to learn.

For the vast majority of us, there are moments when we must reflect on the events of our lives... both public and seemingly private... and realize that we should probably never EVER try to hold public office.

Great mag. If you ever get or are interested in a REAL pickup, pick it up. Lots of good info.

Yeah, I have bought two now and I am pretty sure I will be subscribing to it.

I have learned alot about the 7.3 in the past couple weeks but I want to learn more about diesels in other brand trucks too.

Real trucks don't have spark plugs.
