Now I have seen people doing some stupid things while driving, ex putting makeup on, mascara, etc. But I have never thought anyone would ever paint fingernails. This woman should be shot and she even confessed what she was doing when she hit the motorcyclist. So sad to lose a life this way.

Nice. They're going to let her off with a slap on the wrist, too. I hope she ends up feeling really bad about it and kills herself.

Gosh, I hope killing that motorcyclist didn't ruin her nails. God knows it must have been really important, especially if she had to concentrate so much on that at the expense of actual safe driving. That crash must have just ruined all that hard work she had accomplished.

I wish this entire country would stop catering to these fucking asshats and arrest anyone talking on the phone, doing their nails, eating, putting on makeup, or doing any one of a number of things instead of paying attention to the road. If you're doing any of that, you should be arrested and charged with attempted murder. You're a danger to yourself and everyone around you.

I disagree. She cost a woman her life through her extreme negligence. Her life should be forfeit. People need to start taking driving seriously, and that won't happen until there are actual penalties for shit like this.

At best the woman will be convicted of a Class D/E Felony for Negligent Homicide. With a sentence likely between 3 (Class E) - 25 (Class D) years, time off for 'good behavior', parole and so on, and given that she's already 'showing remorse', she'll only get a proverbial slap on the wrist.

I'd sentence her to 3 Full years - no early release, and compell her to record several PSAs for driver attention and motorcycle safety. For the next 25 years, on the anniversary of her crime, she is to stand at that intersection for a minimum of twelve hours with a sign that says "I killed a motorcyclist here. Pay attention to your driving. Look twice for Motorcycles."

that could be the best punishment ever right there. At least she wouldn't forget it.

Yeah I saw this. This is just so f*cked up. Sitting there minding your own business...waiting for a light to change and then some dumbazz painting her fingernails slams in to you and kills you. This idiot has affected so many lives in a negative way.

I hope she pays dearly.
