It's here... when ya gonna get yours??

#1871 off the Wisconson assembly line. Built March of 08, purchased march of 08. :dthumb:

Picked it up this morning, haven't had a chance to get it out yet.
Can't find my fucking camera either.

Ride report once it warms up and the streets clear off.

Pics once I find my camera.

You bastard. Congrats.

Thanks...
Spoke to the Regional Buell Service Manager while I picked it up.
He had 2 pieces of advice for me
-Keep it above 3000 RPM's
-Ride it like ya stole it.

About any other question was answered with "don't worry, the bike can take it" :nana2:

 Great advice. Get some pics up asap.

Ya he was cool shit.
Told me he had to take it for a spin as a "quality control" check.
He just loves the bike!
That fucking front end is LIGHT though. Hit 6K and UP she comes.

Instant MPG display... I've seen high side of 39, and low of 14.
This could be interesting.

um, cause it's 30 degrees, the roads are sandy and icy, and its about to start rain/snowing.

That and I have to work tomorrow.

I had to laugh at the service manager.
He "suggested" I bring it to them for all the major services. so 620 miles, and 1200 miles, and then every 3000 after that.
It's 100 miles one way to the dealership. Figured if I did that, I'd be in twice a week for the first couple!

sorry...

ok, no I'm not.
I love it for all 40 miles I've put on it!!
Shakes a lot though, kinda supprised me.
but i love the torque. Can't wait for a little warmer weather, and cleaner streets!!!

If/when you do buy one, watch the dealers. I've heard a lot charging OVER MSRP for them. I got mine for $12,100 OTD. Free T-shirt and oil change materials. Hopefully gonna hook me up with a service manual when they become available too.

The toys are only in the back when hibernating. Hopefully we'll get the SV out tomorrow...

Pics are almost uploaded.

Ok, got 'em in photo bucket.
Remember, I'm no pro photographer, and have a rather old camera...
First, a teaser.

Also, if they seem a bit blury, it could be because of the 40 mph winds we have right now.

and mine also have a town in the background.

And now all of you that have never been to ND know what the scenery looks like on the East half of the state.

The land in which you can watch your dog run away for three days...

How you figure?
It's not any wider than the normal screen???

And I see no one still has made a new exhaust for the 1125. I don't mind the look, but I want it louder.

If you want exhaust, talk to Odie at Special Ops... He's got my can right now... Not sure if he's fucked with an 1125 yet, but it's possible he'd be interested in trying!

Took it for a quick spin last night, as I had it out of the garage to rearrange anyway.
The lights seem pretty decent, even on high ebbs PIAA's were better, so I'm going to try adjusting them up a bit to get more distance out of them. Then follow a friend to be sure they aren't TOO blinding.

Not cheap though.
Think it equals about $1200 :panic:

What say you, Cutty?

For $200... i would consider it until better options were available. for $1200... plus another $130 or so to get it to the states... that fucker is ugly, no chance in hell. I do think it's better than the D&D, but still not pretty.

Still waiting on Drummer or Special Ops to put one out.
Odie figured by mid summer he'd have one figured out. No word on when Drummer will release one yet.

OK, finally got it out to actually RIDE.
Put about 100 miles on yesterday.
This thing MOVES!!! Still breaking it in... but it hits 96mph in 6th gear at 6K, and gets there quick.
It loves corners, just start to lean and it just goes over!
twist the throttle and it pulls out like crazy.
I learned that I need to get smoother with my low speed on/off throttle control, but other than that this thing is awesome.
The one downfall is it does not like to be below 3500 EVER.
Trying to cruise at 55 mph in 6th is at 3200, and it's not real smooth.

Did have 2 minor issues with it however.
1. died at every stop, unless I would blip the throttle when I pulled in the clutch

2. Check engine light came on a couple times through the day, no apparent reason.

Dealer is picking it up on Wed, so we'll see what happens then.
Hopefully I can get it back quick and it is nothing major!

I was the same way with the smoothness on/off the throttle when I got my bike... I realized that it's just a new bike thing... Sorta like when you drive a different car... I experience the same thing. Start playing with hard braking, you'll see similar results.
