Well the dust has finally settled in the land of the swine flu.

the peds ER is still hoppin but the doc over there is a lazy POS and she has left me hanging numerous times myself and the resident feel its some long over due karma for her lazy ass so at least we can laugh about it.

Now I was seeing apt and she was waiting for test results, her ghetto fabulous friend comes in and tells me when are the results going to be in, they have children outside. well the results came in an hr ago and theyre still sitting out there, again shows some people shouldnt be breeding.

Had a few interesting cases among the BS and sadly had to tell a young person they may have something that could kill them in the next 2 years. odds are she does because shes a realy nice person and theyre the ones that realy bad stuff happens to.

So for now its time to catch up on some charts and pretend to look busy so i dont get pulled away.

ah we're back, yes.

It would suck to have to give that kind of news to a young person.

I know all too well the reality of being told something like that. Fortunately, in my case, it was repairable.

I was diagnosed with a heart murmur at my Kindergarten checkup. They decided to wait until I was 10 to operate. They had to remove an excess buildup in the aorta.

I remember asking the doctor if I really have to have the surgery. I was 10 afterall! Surgery was a scary thought.

I'll never forget the words he said to me. "You can have the surgery and live a nice long life, or you can not have it and be dead in 3 years. It's your choice."

Pretty scary at the time, but I have a cool scar to this day on my chest.

Sounds like House! :)

nah, if that were the case the doc would have sent a team to his house to go through his stuff first.
