View Full Version : Homes in Pines....
I'm looking to buy a home. One of the areas I am thinking of moving to is Pembroke Pines. Are there any areas I should avoid?

The more west and north you get, the better it is. The areas that border up with Hollywood are kinda crummy. Your best bet is to drive around. There's an obvious line where the slum ends and the nicer parts begin, but it's still kinda shitty out this way. Even some of the nicer areas are only fake nice. They have the appearance of being nice and clean and normal, but in reality, it's just a fancy shithole. I don't know of specific areas for you to look in, nor how far or near to Miami or Fort Lauderdale you need to be, but the closer to the Miami Dade/Broward line you are, the shittier it is. The closer to Weston you are, the more expensive it'll be. There are some nice communities west of I75 that are somewhat gated or isolated, but they're still surrounded by less than desirable areas.
I used to live there, on the border of Pembroke Pines and Cooper City. But as that was um, 16 or so years ago, I don't have any good advice to give. So essentially I'm just posting this to say I used to live there.
