Do you eat while you drive?
Do you allow others to eat food in your car?

I do at times. The wife does if we're on a road trip and in a hurry. I'd let someone if we were in a hurry.

Now having said this...what is eaten in the car is limited...no messy chit.

Food is only allowed in my car if I/we are in a big hurry. Not that I am fearful of a mess, I just don't like the smell of old fast food in my car. Old french fry smell FTL.

My wife and i eat in the car on road trips, usually chicken sandwiches or snacks. If i'm driving, i only eat once i'm out on the Interstate- around town i concentrate on traffic.

And we don't allow kids in the cars at all :dthumb:

I don't like anyone eating in my car but I have made FEW exceptions...

I don't really like eating in my car but I will. I'm not worried about the mess, I just prefer not to. :idk:

Kids in my car? Ask the nieces about the rules. :lmao:

Just before they get in I say "And what's the rule when you're in Aunt Kelly's car?"

They groan and say "We know! No boots on the back of the seats and NO crying!" :lol

Werd. (FWIW, however, we never have kids in the car, so it's never been an issue  )

totally me. 1995 Honda MiniVan. 260,000 miles and about that many meals as well. I'm sure there are vintage fries hiding in there somewhere.

Yes and Yes. Who cares? My lab pretty much owns the car anyway...so whats a little food gonna hurt. Plus, it's leather, it'll clean easy.

Eating in my car is not an issue. But, if you make a gigantic mess and don't clean it up, or if you get out of the car, and don't take your trash w/you, then i get really upset. :td:

One of the places I frequented was 711, so I don't give a shit. I never ate while driving, but I'd often reach for the slurpee.

I generally don't since I don't eat much fast food. I have done it when traveling for work. Sometimes I just want to get where I'm going and not have to stop to eat but I'm a neat freak and all trash is cleaned up and taken out ASAP.

I don't have any 'rules' against it but if people do it I expect them to be careful about it and clean up after themselves. I don't have kids nor would I want kids eating in my car.

I don't care as long as the trash is taken out ASAP.

Kids are not ever in my car. If there were, they would not be allowed to eat.

Awesome story of this 'not caring' back firing.

Went to pick up my husband from the airport after being gone for a while. I wore a cute outfit including a white skirt. I had made the mistake of trying a salad from Wendy's. BIG mistake. Well, I forgot about it and had it in the bag all afternoon. I pull up to the curb at the airport just as he walks up and it a hurry I tried to clean up the mess so he can jump in the car. Bag breaks. Nasty ass salad with dressing goes all over the front seats, center console and of course my pretty white skirt. :panic:

Ok, I thought about it some more... Let me expand on my "same" I posted earlier

I'm psychotic about the interior of my car being clean. I allow food to be eaten in there if we're in a hurry for some reason (though I detest fast food - if I'm eating anywhere other than my house it is generally a nice "sit-down" restaurant) but it's like a state park: you bring it in, you take it out. I tend to keep my vehicles for a long time and I like them to stay in good condition for as long as humanly possible.

I can't eat when I drive unless it's french fries or something like that, so I usually don't. I don't care if someone else does though.

I live in my truck. I normally wake up at 5:30am but I often wake up late which means I throw a Pop Tart, Bagel, and Banana on a plate and into my front seat. I eat lunch inside my work truck everyday (A/C and reclining seats FTW!!!) and then I grab something to eat on my way to school.

But because of that my truck looks like a complete fucking disaster.

And I allow people to drink beer inside my car so why not food???

I have a company car I could care less who eats in it. If it was my own car I would not let my step son or wife eat in it cause they are some messy eaters.

Don't drink and drive and don't eat and drive. As for the passengers, as long as they take there mess with them I'm tolerant.

Yeah the dogs have taken over everything behind the front seats on my SS. Dog slobber on the rear windows and all. That's why I think my next suv will be a HHR SS panel.

I don't mind as long as they aren't slobs about it. It usually only happens on road trips, anyway, so the truck will be in need of a cleaning no matter what.

holy not politically correct by todays standards. noooo you mean you never let people drink in your vehicle in fact you've turned your best friend in for dui once because you thought it was completely inappropriate to drink and drive. LOL

I live in my car. If I didn't eat in it I'd starve. I try to keep it half way clean but with kids and three dogs that is about impossible.
