My Pazzo's came yesterday. I've wanted a set for a while now. But just didn't have the cash. Well, I found a set on a Buell forum for a price I couldn't pass up.

They are black shorties with gold adjusters. Ideally I would have liked it the other way around...gold levers with black but...:idk:...The price was right.

It was pouring here yesterday so this googled pic will have to do:

They are gonna look killer on the Buell. Hopefully it's not raining in 2 hours when I get off work. Then I can install these bad boys.

I think the black with gold adjusters will look better than gold with black adjusters. They only take 5 mins to install. Gets some pics posted when you can.

I also installed new pegs last week. An inch lower peg from the Lightning...while more comfortable...still kills me to be on this thing for more than 20 minutes.

I've got gold Buell levers on it now. I love the way they look. But, like I said, the price was right.

We must be living parallel lives!

I ordered pazzo's last week (local group buy) and just got a set of black shorties with gold adjusters. Installing them next week....can't wait!

 Nice. I'm installing mine tonight....but, sadly, I'm not gonna have time for a ride. Roads are wet...and I have packing to do.

I personally like the black levers better.

An inch lower on the pegs? Does it make a big difference? I had factory adjustable pegs on my gsxr and it didn't really mater but the difference was less than an inch up/down or forward/back.

I was fond of the gold...but the black is a solid look. I like it. The pegs, I can tell a difference...but I still cramp up after about 20 or 30 minutes.

More so than on the zuke?

Zuk was about 15 minutes. The Buell is more comfortable...but my back and knees suck.

I really love this bike, I dont want to get rid of it. But it's tough to ride. My options are get a Lightning with the higher bars and more upright position or get the XR1200.

I believe they do not. The stockers have a little bushing in the pivot hole...but it doesn't fit in the pazzo's.

Example:

Oh, and look at that...they come stock with black levers.

Well, I'm gonna leave it alone because you'd have to drill the Pazzo hole to fit the bushing. I am not trying to start anything, honestly, I've just had a minor bad experience with levers without bushings. No biggie! BTW again no offense but I'd ASSume that you used grease when you reassembled them right? Just asking....

In alot of ways it is appearance. But the adjustability is awesome. It was a mod I wanted to do for a long time...but the price is steep. Just keep looking for a good deal if you want a set.

And the rotor is AWESOME.

Put about 150 miles on with the Pazzo's this weekend. Initial thoughts...

They look incredible. Love that. They feel wierd. At this point, I prefer the feel of the stock levers. But I'm sure I'll get used to them. The Buell has an insanely stiff clutch, these short levers only made it stiffer. So much so that I have a massive pain in my left hand. This is no joke. So my next mod is a $35 Clutchlite EZpull. I'll be going xsoft.

Also...the point where the clutch disengages has moved farther out, allowing for two finger jones on the shifting. Good and bad on that. Good b/c it's how I used to ride. Bad b/c I have to get used to it again. And I think I need to adjust my clutch...needs just a touch more free play.

Gas Man
06-29-2009, 12:52 PM
Clutch lever free play should hold a dime in the pinch point.

I don't have quite that much...it def needs a touch of adjustment. And an oil change, and a brake fluid change, and the HID put in it. Wife has me working on the house...can't find time for MC maintenence.

yeah if you are having a hard time with the clutch move the point out so you just have to barely touch the clutch to engage it.

With the stock the clutch disengaged as soon as it came away from the bar. I got used to it that way and like it. I just gotta get used to the new set up.
