And thus, one of the reasons I was very hesitant finally coming over here... (Not you in particular Apoc but some of my comments as everything happened...) I did everything I could for CF... But over the last few weeks, I came to the realization that a decision had to be made... Either I was going to walk away once and for all (something I really didn't want to do but considered) or listen to some of my long time friends whom I still remained in touch with telling me for months to quit talking to yourself and get over here!

So for now, I'm here and I'm looking forward to being a member of two wheel fix. I will do whatever I can to support this site as I did for CF for so many years... And yes, its nice seeing so many familiar faces on here... I have missed so many of you...

Now, I must admit, the crowds this year are down... In this my eighth year of coverage, I do know there are still people out there who appreciate what I do! As I've said a time or two, the tropics are one of the most unpredictable things to cover! Over the years, I've become friends with fellow forecasters and I will do all that I can to care for CFers who are in harms way of impending storms... I will issue live updates when needed here on CycleForums to help protect posters who might be in the path of the next big one. Over the years, I have forecast some of the most disastrous situations including the devastating Florida storms of Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne of 2004, Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma of 2005, and Hurricane Ike from last years very active 2008 season. My first official Cycleforums Hurricane thread for 2009 is now just hours away...

Will the Tropical Legend and his long history of extensive and live hurricane hurricane coverage finally bring CycleForums back to life? Stay tuned.....
