I usually hate reality shows, but I have always liked this one. Anyone else watch it?

It's on tonight.

I only watched one season of it. Amusing but not enough to keep me hooked.

Check out his other show... Kitchen Nightmares... It's on the BBC and it's WAY better than the goofy contest setup...

I don't watch it but I heard that 3 of the local chef's from around here were on there and one of them got the boot lastnight.

It's not really about the food, it's more about this guy yelling at people. I like how he calls everyone donkeys.

I saw it once, it was ok. Any show where a guy is an asshole to a bunch of folks is at least partially amusing.

I've gotten stuck watching it.

Things that are irritating.

1. The elimination. Why make them pick people when chef is going to just pick someone else (ratings).

2. Wigger Sabrina needs to go. I know she has been kicked off because she brings the drama

3. The "guest" just seems so fake.

I have to say Im a Gordon Ramsey fan. I like Kitchen Nightmares but only the British version. The US version has too much fake drama tacked on in post production.

Gordon Ramsey's F Word is better than kitchen nightmares, much better. It's also on BBC.

One is about drama, one is about food. Which is better depends on the viewer's preference.

I've watched a few episodes of Kitchen Nightmares and they were OK but the premise got old pretty quickly. There are only so many versions of "My restaurant is failing, I'm on the verge of bankruptcy, and my food sucks but I still know better than the successful restaurateur with 3 Michelin stars so fuck him!" they can really do.

F Word is good but I have to be in the mood to learn about food in order to watch it.

F Word is a good mix of challenges and learning about food, you always have the satisfy the customer contest and then Ramsey vs a Celebrity. I prefer F Word. I like when he does crazy shit like get animals and raise them on beer in his backyard to make them taste better.

Ever try to go to a taping? Is it open when the show isn't going on?

I've watched it a couple of times, but find it annoyingly formulaic. you know; like every other reality show out there.

Every time I see a commercial of Ramsay yelling at some wannabe chef I remember the picture that his mentor, Marco Pierre White, published of him crying in a corner when he was being mentored by White.

Damn. I can't find a copy of the picture anywhere.

I watch it because I enjoy cooking and I enjoy watching him belittle the people when they do stupid shit.

I think he is talking about the Hells Kitchen area of NYC not the Hells Kitchen restaurant in LA.

Yup, talking about the area BUT there is a "Hells Kitchen" restaurant in Hells Kitchen and I've eaten there. Food was very good and the staff were cool.

I think their basic failures in life may be driving them to do this...not Ramsey really.

I'd have been more surprised if there wasn't a restaurant by that name in the area and there probably has been since before Ramsay was born. Do you know if Ramsay is involved in the current restaurant?

You can go to Ramsay's site to see what restaurants he's involved in.

US restaurants he's involved with. I don't see Hell's Kitchen on the list. ;)
