So I want to hear what your Favorite concert that you have attended is? Why was is so awesome? Lets hear them!
I think I saw the best concert ever last night.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy came to town last night and did a small show at the Wild Horse Saloon. The brass players are so talented and the audience couldn't sit still. I was drenched in sweat by the end of the show. Everyone was dressed in 50's era clothes and swing dancing like mad. I used to swing dance in college and really miss the scene. Wish I could find a partner and start again (Kerry doesn't dance)
Me with the lead singer. MORE COWBELL!!

Going to see the hip, offspring, metric, the arkells and a few others on the 4th. It'll be my first concert.
Woodstock 99, specifically the Metallica show, they plays for almost 4 hours even though they were only supposed to be on for 45 minutes, and it was an awesome show.

Any concert at Red Rocks Park is great, but my favorite was when Bruce Springsteen played there in August, 1981. He had just came out with The River album. We got there two hours early and were walking by the stage when Bruce and his band came out to do a sound check and played Devil With The Blue Dress.
Red Rocks is a natural amphitheater of steeply-dipping Jurassic rocks, with the audience facing east toward Denver. During the concert, a full moon started rising behind the stage and the audience started calling out "Moon, moon." Bruce thought the audience was booing, until he turned around. He played all my favorites. What a show.

Althought it wasn't at Red Rocks, I saw Bruce on this tour too, and it was the best concert of the literally hundreds I've been to. Second to Bruce was Queensryche on the Empire tour. In recent years I would have to say Linkin Park, Disturbed, Fishbone, Dave Matthews, aw hell, I could sit here for an hour naming really awesome concerts so I'll just stop now. For the record, I hated the Rolling Stones live. Very disappointing.

Primus at the Roseland Ballroom during the Tales From the Punchbowl tour. They kicked serious ass and sounded amazing live. Watching Les dance around the stage while pounding on the bass was fantastic.
Still trying to catch Ween live, but they don't seem to be coming even remotely close to here any time soon. I hear their shows kick ass.

Best for me was Tragically Hip (Canadian Band) but I can't remember what one it was....I've seen them numerous times.
I'm a concert junkie so I've been to many but the best entertainer I ever saw was......wait for it.....Neil Diamond! :whatwhat:

and as far as country, George Strait was the BEST.
I can't believe I left out TOOL!! Maybe it was the smoke, maybe it was the 'shrooms, maybe it was the billion jello shots, seriously though, amazing show. Hoping to see them when they roll through again soon.

I have been to 2 Pearl Jam shows, first around 97 in Hartford and second was in Tampa not long ago. Both were great shows.
I also saw Aerosmith in Tampa a few years ago. Steven Tyler's voice is no joke. They were really good.

Oh dear god... Hart Plaza. They still try and do music stuff there, but, its a scary place to be. You have to go in groups and avoid the overly-aggressive homeless people.

Metallica always puts on a great show. I've seen them live many times.
Disturbed is good live, so is Zakk Wylde(BLS). Trivium is another great live band.
The best concert???

It's been a while but it's pretty much a toss-up between:
- Nash the Slash (opened for OMD) in 1983
- Forgotten Rebels in 1986 (the drunker they got the better it was)
- Northern Pikes in New Year's Eve 2003/2004

Best ever was the Misfits 25th Anniversary show in NYC in 2001 ( I think ). Michale Graves, who split with the band, came out and sang a ton of songs. He wasn't even supposed to be there. It was unbelievable. Place went crazy.
Graves, one of my favorite vocalists:

Second best was Pantera on their final tour in 01. Saw them at the Igloo (GO PENS), weather was AWFUL, snow and ice everywhere. Arena was sold out and nearly empty b/c of the weather. They put on an incredible show.

The best concert???
Monsters of Rock with Van Halen, Scorpions, Metallica, and Kingdom Come.
I really wanted to see that! I saw most of one of the shows on MTV. It was the one they had the Van Halen contest for.
Kingdom Come is/was a fucking awesome band, even if they caught hell because they sounded like Led Zepplin. :rockout: I even have their CD still.
Best performance from a band....I give that to ZZ Top. I got to see them twice back in the 80's and they put on a helluva show.
I saw Kiss for their Hot In The Shade tour when Winger and Slaughter was the opening acts. I wasn't impressed with Kiss at all. :sorry:
I missed seeing Ozzy several years ago when he was supposed to play in Shreveport. I had front row tickets and had to get my money back since he slipped in the shower and broke his hip the day of the show. I really want to see him before he dies/retires....again.
The one band that stands out from all the ones I've seen is Dokken. I saw them a few years ago with Firehouse, LA Guns, Warrant, and Ratt. Don was pushing 50 years old then, still drinking like a fish and chain smoking onstage and he could still wail as good as he did when back in his much younger years. They put on a helluva show for an hour set. :rockout:

I don't know about the best since I've seen quite a few through the years.
I've got three to go to coming up shortly...
ZZ Top and Aerosmith
Poison...Cheap Trick and Def Leppard
Cruefest with Godsmack...Theory of a Deadman and Motley Crue
The most fun I've had may have been when I saw the Red Hot Chilli Peppers years ago at a ski resort...man we had a blast !!

Metallica ...what I'm laughing at is I remember when my retired father took a part time job at a hotel several years back driving the shuttle van from the hotel to the airport and drove the band to the airport.
He came home and we were talking on the phone and he asked if I had ever heard of them and described them as nice young boys. I started laughing just thinking of him talking with them and can only imagine the conversation.
I showed him a video of theirs and he got a funny look on his face and couldn't believe they were the same people in his van.

I saw them at a rockfest type concert and the set was only an hour long.
I was more impressed with his ability to sing considering his age and his drinking and smoking habits.
