I left my house yesterday with Blue Skies and Puffy white clouds...and it was GORGEOUS out...Rode to work and had an ok day...Rained at work but cleared up and was nice again on my ride home...
Halfway home the fucking skies opened up and Jesus himself came down upon me in a torrential downpour...No Rain gear with me and it got Colder from the Rain...I was shivering so bad I almost had to stop...but I figured stopping would mean I'd take me another Hour or more to get home and it'd be best to just take it easy on the bike and creep home...
And in the back of my mind..."We'll...At Least Im racking up Miles for the Eclipse Luggage Contest"...Im Fucked in the head :lol

Man after the rally journey all this shits easy.
I waited out some rain going home yesterday. I got hit for about 15 minutes then it prety much stopped so it wasnt too bad. I have been riding to work a lot at the job sites and have been dodging a lot of bullets in regards to the rain. Figure my luck can only hold out for so long.

You haven't ridden in the rain until you've ridden through a hurricane or at least the remnants of a hurricane.
How did those Toggs work out for you Tommy?

Good point, I did grab a pair of rubber gloves to use yesterday so my hands stayed dry and I had that red raincoat I wore to the rally so it did its job. Got home and found out I had the frog toggs in my hard bags which are on the bike since we moved monday.

I dunno...Me and Tommy had a Solid Three Hours of Straight Rain + Mist from the Semi's...It was fucking hellacious.
No Hurricane...But It'll do just fine for me.

See my post above, I didn tknow they were with me till I got home  yesterday would have been perfect to use them and was the reason I wanted them. Now I know I have them with me so it wont rain.

Yeah after riding home from the MotoGP race, rain riding didn't bother me at all. It was 6 hours of solid downpour. Good gear helps a lot.

So true once yo uget wet you are completley miserable esp i fits cold out. I am a little skiddish now because my front tire is getting down to the point it needs to be replaced soon so I am prety conservative in the rain for now esp in the turns.

The one time I was actually happy about a the weight of a 83 CB750 back in the early 90's. Can't remember the year or hurricane but it did suck.

Three hours of rain? That's a normal trip home from the mountains for me  Just watch out for flash flooding...

I got caught in the same down pour only it was tapering off when I left work. It was raining so hard I couldn't see my cycle in the parking lot from 75 feet away.
The ride home was joy too. Riding thru water 4"-6" deep ( some places were 6"-8" deep ) only to get to the intersection and have the fire police send me the long way home because the water was too deep :skep:
This morning there was softball size rocks in the road from being washed out of the gutters. Plus all the normal tree debris and shit in the road.
As I say at work, 40 mpg isn't free :dthumb:
