For you tall riders what sportbikes seem to offer you the best room and comfort?
I am 6'2" and never had a problem on a 600rr with vortex rearsets as high as they go. You just got to be flexible. I also ride on a big wheel with no issues.

08 ZX6R Fits me like a glove...I'm 6'4
I'm a smidge under 6'4" and 280#...i've ridden everything, but by far the most comfortable bike i've ever ridden was the TL1000R

Generally, Hondas have always been the most comfortable for me.
I'm no were close to that but out of all of them I've ridden to me the ZX10R has the most leg room. bad knees and ankles like more room.

I'm a short guy and I sat on a zx6 and a zx10. To my surprise the zx10 was more comfy. Both were mid to late '00's.

plus one on the TLs I am 6'4 and around 250, my old rf900 was prety comfy too. Surprisingly the newer generation gsxrs seem kinda comfortable to me as well.

While arguably not in the category of a true Sport bike I would say take a close Look at the Busa and the ZX14 these are flat out incredible to ride. The thing that hard core sport riders vetch about when these bikes are discussed (extra weight and chassis length) smooth out the ride and anything you give away in the corners, the incredible torque on both machines lets you more than take it back in the straights.

mine is an 06 ZX10R.
I've worked in shops and ridden the big 4 so have an idea of leg room on the other bikes.

I'm 6'4" and am on my 3rd GSXR1000. I'm quite comfortable on it. When I bought my first GSXR back in 2001, I had just parted ways with Yamaha and was looking for a change so I tried EVERYTHING else, including the Italian brands. There were several factors that drew me to this bike but comfort was definitely on the list.
compaired to the R1/R6 just about everything has more leg room
im 6'4, and about the only comfy sportbikes ive been on are some of the older ones. Tl's, zx9r's, zx7r, 900rr...
The newer bikes werent made to be comfortable.
I'm not tall but I was floored when I went to my first group VFR ride. I was surrounded by giants!! Probably not what you mean since the VFR is considered a sport-tourer though..

I'm all but certain my next bike will be a Busa. I'd prefer an 06-07, I hate the back end on the 08-09 but love that orange/blue paint scheme. I also considered the ZX14 and love the back end of that one but don't really like the front end of it all that much.
I feel cramped as hell on my CBR 1000 on the longer trips, it does not help that I severely pulled muscles in my neck/shoulder area 2 years ago and will not stay off the bike long enough for it to quit agitating it. I know it has to do this bike because if I switch to the F4I or Ninja 500 I can ride all day pain free.

I'm 6'6", about 220 or so. All the 600s suck, with the R6 taking the prize for worst torture rack.
If you need a real sportbike, the ZX10R and GSXR1000 both offer pretty decent legroom. The older ZX9R is great, if you can find a clean one.
If you can stomach a sport-tourer, check out the VFR or a ZZR1100 or 1200. If you can live with a naked, the ZRX1200 is awesome.

or you can get an 05-08 ZZR600... it's the old ZX6R from 02... the little bro of the ZX9... still plenty of room and all day comfort... rode that 4200 miles of a 5000 mile trip... before I looped it
funny though now they're considered a sport tourer...

My 01' gix 1000 is probably the most comfy sportbike I've had. It just feels a little longer and stretched out. Both of my TLS's were ok too. All my ZX-7's were torture and my 929 wasn't much better. I'm 6'2 about 210. Any bike i've ridden after 06' seemed like toys size wise. Very cramped.

Thanks for the chuckle.
If it helps, I've been riding the shit outta my sport-tourer lately. It's an awesome bike. The centerstand drags a little too early, but it is what it is.
I've just run into a lot of folks who won't touch a sport-tourer with a ten-foot pole, even if it would fit their riding style much better than a supersport or superbike would. I guess it has something to do with small penis syndrome.

I love my sport de tourer. But I do feal like I get these weird stares from everyone that they know I ride a sport tourer. O wait. Less than 1% of the population know what a sport tourer is. Its cool, I'm considered to be on a sport bike.
Also I think my penis shrunk .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000001" when I got it.

Get a ZX12R or ZX9R if you want comfort. A ZZR600 if you want a 600 or even a YZF600r.
