Is mighty tasty. I went in to scope out a new to me local beer distributor today and saw this and figured I will give it a go. Doesnt say how potent it is so I iwll drink a few and see if I can still stand up straight
Also got some more brooklyn choc stout and the left hand nut brown ale.

I had some of that recently.
It's pretty thick.... I think I like the Double Bock better... speaking of which, I need to try a bottle and see how it's aging.

I'm still dying to try the Kentucky Breakfast stout. Hoping I can find some somewhere. No luck yet.

It def fits the style, and I am a huge fan of imperial stouts as well as doppelbocks since most seem to do a great job of gettin ya messed up

Actually it is brewed in Grand Rapids Michigan. If it was brewed in KY I would have to make the drive since it is only about 45 mins away.

Hmm, if thats the case I may be able to find it. I had some stuff from a few other michigan breweries here. Saw a few 6pks that looked like they may be good and gave them a try. Wound up being rather good beers too.

I might have to ship you some. It's brewed by Founders brewing. Ask your local beer retailer if they can get it. Oh ant it only comes in a 4 pack.

That would be awesome! I am going to try calling around again and see if that gets me anywhere. I have been reading the reviews and it sounds awesome. Wish Flying Saucer had it on the list.

Well, I checked Spec's today.
They have a few of Brooklyn's brews (IPA, Lager, Nut Brown, no Choc. Stout :( ) but when I asked one of the guys there about Kentucky Breakfast, he kind of chuckled and said it hadn't made it down here yet.
Maybe I misread his response but I'm guessing others have asked.
I figure if anybody gets it, they will...they have the largest rack of beers I've never even heard of... you know, the sort of brews that have labels that are much more interesting than the contents might be.
Oh, I did manage to score some Sam Adams Imperial White.
I'll post up after I've had a chance to try it.

Just south of... Portland OR. I make it up to Seattle occasionally and love stopping by their brewery.

Great beer down in Portland. . Have you had Deshutes? Great stuff. Grants is ok and Rogue is fantastic. Hair of the Dog is good as well. I'm not a fan of Windmer but if you like wheat beer, check them out.

There's a ton of breweries out here. So far we've hit Rogue, Fat Tire out in Hood, and Deschutes. There's still a ton more - seems like a whole section of downtown is dedicated to good beer and their breweries.
ETA Rogue is at the top of my list next to Fat Tire.

I believe Portland has the most breweries of any town in the country, something like 28 of them. I lived in Seattle for a while and enjoyed all the breweries the NW had to offer.

Ok, just my quick amateur review of Sam Adams Imperial White...
Wow...
It's a nice, strong brew at 10.3%...
It has a caramel sweetness and just a hint of bitter in the finish.
Definitely a much bigger beer than I would expect from something called a "white".
I would definitely buy another 4-pack.

I was at the store tonight and the Breakfast Stout is in stock and being brewed but the Kentucky Bourbon Stout will not be brewed until late fall. Both are similar but the breakfast stout is brewed with coffee. Both are aged in oak bourbon barrels.

The Breakfast stout is the one that sounds good to me. Hints of coffee and vanilla and bourbon. Yum. I would be glad to paypal you some money to get a four pack shipped. Dont know how easy that would be to do though.

Let me look into shipping and the legality of it crossing state lines. If there is no problem, I will ship it to you.
