What's so bad about the pipe? It's better than played-out undertails that rob HP, add weight, and transfer heat to the rear shock.

Tuono V4, bitches!!!
Fuck that Duckie Street Fighter pussy bike shit.
When you want a real naked bike, Aprilia is where the shit always has been and always will be.

Everybody else are playing catch-up.

I'm not a big fan of Aprilia's reliability, but their styling has always been heads and above anyone else's, IMO.

Um the Duke, Super Duke, Suzuki Bandit, SV, Monster, etc have been around for ever... Now the Tuono is possibly the best looking of all the "naked" bikes. Seriously, thee have been naked bikes before there were full faired bikes....Hahahaha! I'm fucking with you of course! You have to admit that the Bandit (1989) and quite a few others came out WAY before Aprilia entered the scene.

Dude, the Super Duke is barely two years old. Yeah, there are naked bikes since Day One. They used to be known as Standards. But Aprilia was the first that turned a sport bike into a killer naked bike. Granted that nobody else done that until now with Ducati and the Street Fighter, and of course Buell with the 1125CR. The Super Duke and the Speed Triples were designed to be hooligan bikes from the beginning. The Ducati Monster S4/S4R/S4RS used the testastretta engine from the 998/999 but didn't have the stiff chassis to handle all that power.

the tuono was kind of its own class for a while. Got rave reviews when it first came out. A few friends have them and they love them. Dont see it as a track bike much in thes eparts but people say its a great street bike.

I love teasing you but I noticed that you didn't remark about the Bandit, is it because the first large Bandit's engine came from a GSXR1100? Thus preceding the Tuono by about a decade? What about the FZ1? The Superhawk? The SV1000? Heck, the TL1000? I know that you're in love with the Tuono and I'll give you that it's the "best" but the "first"? Nah...
i dont know about the bandits but all the other bikes you mentioned came with clipons, ie: not streetfighters

Most of those bikes get "detuned" engines and none of them have a sport bike chassis. Even the TL's chassis was different than the TLR's chassis.

Well whoop de fucking doo!!! The Tuono is a fucking pussy bike bitch! Whatever!!!
Seriously though, I thought that the Tuono was also re-mapped/tuned for more mid-range, torque, etc... I didn't think that the Tuono was basically a RSV without a fairing and clip-ons. I thought there was more to it. Hmmm... Well, I'll take your word for it, bro.:idk:

Why would having clipons mean that it's not a streetfighter?
To me, streetfighter = any sportbike with its fairings removed......Who cares what kind of bars it has

Aprilia and KTM only make pussy bikes for fags like me.
The Tuono is nothing more or less than the RSV without the fairing. Usually the 1st year Tuonos would use a slightly older RSV engine but by the 2nd year rolls by, the Tuono will have the same engine.

clip ons are more cafe territory. Streetfighters are purpose built for hooliganism, not going fast around the track. therefore higher wider and further back handlebars are part of the definition.

Street fighters are all about attitude and aggression. Power alone don't cut it. Power, handling, braking prowess that rival a true blued sport bike but with relaxed seating position so that you can easily do wheelie and endo and all around hooning: Tuono, Brutale, Super Duke, Corsaro, Speed Triple, Street Fighter, 1125CR (with a chain drive conversion instead of the pussy belt drive).
One of these days the Japanese will understand and make a proper street fighter. The B-King comes fairly close except that it's too damn fat and heavy.
Corsaro
i soooo want to meet one of those
better shot of the tuono dev mule.

A proper street fighter isn't a production bike. A proper street fighter is a custom job....
The term street fighter originates from completely custom one off bikes. Not a true blued sport bike that's been turned naked.

I'm glad they retune bikes when they go into production. Who the fuck (other than squids) ride down the block at 10k rpms.

Custom as in not from a factory. Proper street fighters aren't factory.
A street fighter is a squid bike by definition. The whole idea was started by stunters.

I was talking bikes in general.
Like if ducati starting selling the Desmosedici. Ya it would be fine as hell to have all that power untouched after production but its not real world for me to have.
Dells are great for porno.

Street fighters were started by people who could not afford to repair the plastics on their bikes back in the 80s, long before stunters were around.

Not really, I just like taunting you because you make it so easy. Your collection of hideous bikes and leathers is amazing.

The early ones were hand built custom frames because of the weak tube frames back in the day. Stunters were around in the 80s, just not like today.

Speaking of hideous bikes, it takes one to know one and at least my bikes, with exception of the pussy BMW, aren't pussy bikes.
So tell me, which one are you, Obiwan or Charlie Buttboy Boorman? I have a feeling that you like to play the latter.
