You're going to love this. Bindhu subjected me to this last night and I immediately knew you'd appreciate it.

thanks for sharing! Looked like a little geisha pug with her parasol and pitterpatter walk!

How are you two adjusting to Portland?

Gina/Mike-

Yup - moved to Pdx a couple of months back. My wife and I decided Manhattan was a little too crazy for our long term plans (read: family) and Portland seemed like just the place!

We've gotten fully unpacked and now we're just waiting on the furniture to finish arriving. Our new pad is about 2x as big for less than 1/3 of the cost, so we definitely needed some new stuff. (Had to buy a car too)

So far so good - we're meeting people and making friends, but it takes a bit of time to get a really good crew together. I miss NYC, but love it here as well.

The late summer months in Portland are ten times better than New York or anywhere else on the East Coast for that matter.

lol You're welcome out here anytime. We have a guest bedroom with your name on it.

My gig follows me wherever I go, and Bindhu is on the hunt right now. (I'm still working from home). We're renting in the NE near lloyd center till we can get the lay of the land and buy a house.

Loving portland so far - everyone is so friendly here, esp compared to NYC. Bindhu's getting a fresh perspective on why I am the way I am. (I grew up in seattle)

 Pretty much. It took a little while to wean her off of that instinct.

I've left nyc 2x and its been over 2 years here, the instinct doesn't go away! I'm always incognito, esp around the apt complex, don't need anyone trying to knock on my door
