AWD, 365hp V6 twin turbo.

Thoughts?

I think on the surface it looks like a slam dunk. Hopefully it works out once they hit the streets.

I think Conan O'Brian can finally trade his old SHO in on a new one. Maybe he can get some clunker cash...

kinda slab-sided & generic........Doubt it will have a stick shift either

Interesting, but I would still prefer a G8 in either GT or especially GXP trim. Hopefully Chevy doesn't screw it up with the transformation to a Caprice.

Looks like a poor attempt to copy the Acura TL.

It's a sharp car with some odd stuff....sills too high, ass end a bit off. It's definitely not what the SHO once was. It's more of an American Audi with more toys and shitty brakes.

I guess they think people like high dashboards and windowsills

Hahaha. I remember where he took his car to the Ferrari show in New York and I stole one of his phrases that I still use today.

He had the hood up and tells someone that he calls the engine compartment "The Ranch". When someone said "Why" he said "Because that's where I keep all 200 of my horses"

Did Obama approve this gas guzzler?

Actually, they do. That's the trend today, in car styling. Next time you're out and about, compare "greenhouse" sizes between '70s-'90s cars, and '00-up cars.

Everything looks like a Brinks truck anymore, with mere gunslits for windows.

...and it's because of FEAR. Everyone has been conditioned to fear everything and everyone else in the world so badly, that this high-waisted "security" look is "in".

Chrysler 300, H3, and so many others...just look around.

Ford recently did a show car (truck) that literally had a bank-vault style closure on the rear door, and took the "security" look so far that it totally lacked a back window, and instead had a rear mounted camera, and a fucking Plasma TV on the inside of the door, for a "virtual" window instead.

Their styling inspiration? Bank truck. They were quite forthright about it too.

...so yes, that IS what they think people want.

So is that why some people like to sit way back in their seat like they're hiding behind their door post?

Ford was not doing as horrible as GM and Chrysler so they did not need any government cheese.

People are fucking stupid. Most think of driving as simply an opportunity to crank up the music and zone out. In fact they'd rather have their car do all the driving for them, if it could.

No, that's just what everyone under 30 does to fit in with everyone else under 30. Having their arm stretched out allows them to portray a laid-back, overly-confident, "look at me, muthafucka" image.

Sitting closer to the wheel would be too "old man" for them......Never mind the fact that that's actually what most race drivers do.

Kind of what I figured.
Being over 30 but neither withered nor myopic, I prefer a comfy medium position.

God damnit I knew I was doing something wrong. So if I lay back to the point that blue haired grandmas in buicks can see over the steering wheel better than me then my pussy rate will go up?

Apparently so.....Not sure how else to explain it.

It appears to be particularly popular among Black people. I come up behind them sometimes, and I can't even tell if there's anyone behind the wheel

I like it. I've always been a fan of the SHO. But there are a slew of other cars I'd rather drop $40K on.

Looks good in pictures. Wait to see what it is in person and real performance.
