Hey... as long as it's free, no harm, no foul.
Of course this advice comes from the person that is completely addicted to Facebook farming apps...

A nice diet of Fallout 3 will be nice. Feels like I've been playing for years and I think I'm just half way done.

Is that why she's been so quiet lately?

if by quiet you mean completely gone except for work and the occasional every 3 week phone call then yeah.

Paco, you're funny. :P
I've recently been sucked into the world of Mabinogi by my kids and my roomies. Everyone in the house is playing it. It's pretty cool and really fun to be able to play the game with the kids. :D There's nothing like showing your child you can still kick their asses in games :dthumb:
I have been a Diablo junkie off and on for years. Aside from the occasional DDR'ing or playing Guitar Hero, I really don't play video games.
I've also been spending lots of time with the kids. :D Mini-Me just turned 16 too! Where did the time go?!? :panic:
Mabinogi is free but has certain limitations. You can still play the game in it's entirety free, but being a premium member makes gameplay better. :)

You haven't seen the Matrix have you? I think we'll have to physically unplug you soon. Good that you found something new to do with the "little" ones. Sounds like they have the coolest mom :bowtome:
I played a couple MMOs for a while, but they got boring once you finished all the free quests. They're just a time suck, and there will always be a bigger, better one you'll have to catch up in when everybody moves over.

If it helps you relate to your kids, do it! As long as you can unplug when they move on to the next bigger better challenge. Me I have so many honey-dos that I dont have any spare time. I steal my entertainment by running off on two wheels. 'Member that scene in Top Gun where Mcgillis is trying to apologize and Tom just keeps revvin' that Ninja?

I keep waffling on some of the parts, but the finally tally will be in excess of $1200, I'm pretty sure. I'm going Core i7, DDR3 1600, GTX280 video (single to start with, might add a second later)... that kind of stuff.

I was wanting to do that, myself. However, the sizes available and the $/gb difference between SSD and conventional makes it impractical.
I'm probably going to get a small SSD (64-80gb range) for my OS drive and then a 300gb VelociRaptor for my games drive. If I want more storage I can just put it on the home NAS or get an eSATA outrigger.
I'm not a movie downloader and my music library is on the NAS already so there's really not a lot of need.
just FYI, the largest SSD device Newegg.com lists is 256gb, and the cheapest of that lot is $500+ Noooooo thank you.

Yeah, I've never seen one larger than 512GB. That was at newegg and was $1,500+. Too pricey for my blood. I'll trade a little speed from the HD and pay for the rest of the system with the difference.

And even then, the 'speed' really only comes in if you have the OS and system configured to use the SSD correctly.
I'm glad I didn't jump on that bandwagon early on... they're only just now fixing a lot of the performance issues.
...now if they'll just drop the price on the Core i7 3.06 sooner rather than later.

expect another 2-3 years. Blizzard is notorius for lengthy development times, and 4-5 delays before release. Starcraft 2 just got pushed back to mid 2010, your your looking at late 2011 before they look to put out diablo3.

I've lost whole weekends to that game....with no sleep. I start playing and when I look at the clock 12-14 hours have passed. Holy fuck! Where'd the time go????
I've never lost track of time playing games before until I started playing D2. It didn't happen again until I started playing Guitar Hero. Now it seems to be happening with Mabinogi. :screwy:

I am still pissed my brother hawked our original Nintendo for beer money 10 or 12 years back. We had alot of games.
But living here in the south we dont have alot of bad weather to keep us indoors so all my resources go into bikes, atvs, racing whatever. I keep video games around for sick days and icy weather...
