What's up guys and gals? Just wanted to share with you all that last Wednesday, I was able to reach the 50,000 mile mark in less than two years. My goal is to put 100,000 miles on her in 3 years. We'll see.

Bad ass! I was hope'n to put 30k on this year... but even though I'm bike only at the moment... my work schedule and boring Mississippi terrain have limited that. so I'll probably only put around 10k...

so I imagine you've taken some long trips... where has your 50k taken you?

I've never taken a long trip since I got her on September 27 of '07. I have two kids and I just can't leave them behind because they have lots of extra curricular activities. That's just from riding around not including riding to work because I live 10 minutes from it.

I can't ride all year round. I live in Germantown, Md. My secret is riding between 4 and 6 am and do atleast 100 miles before breakfast even on weekends. That's the only time I have. In the afternoons, we go to the gym, kids have karate class, piano lesson, etc. So, 90% of those miles are done early in the morning. I work Saturdays, too. Sundays are family day so if I do go out, I make sure I'm back home around 9:00 am.

That's badass man. I did the same a week or so ago, but my bike is 9 years old and I only put 10K of em on.

thats prety impressive considering you havent done any big trips or serious commuting. I will prolly hit 10k by the end of the month and am hoping for 20k by the end of the year.

but thats including 2k plus with the rally trip and my commute can be over 100 miles round trip when working at one of the jobsites.

I can't understand how you guys do this.

I rode every single day last year. Hours at a time. I managed about 9000 or so..

We had record rain last year, and this year is not alot better.

BTW, is that miles or kms?

rain gear has definitely gotten a work out this year and I just bought a center stand off ebay to make chain cleaning easier when I get where I'm going (install thread to follow once it arrives)

he was talking to TSmall... cause he's in Canada.

I think if I was near some good riding I'd ride a lot more... but truth be told... I would probably only rack up an extra 2-4k a year... I don't have much time and so it results in my weekends being my time to get things done in my personal life... so not much time to ride..

then again... I might make time if I had a reason to... :idk:
