That must've been so much fun for the boss.

That's why you do not add co-workers to your social networking sites.

Co-workers I dont have a problem with. Well, certain co-workers. But absolutely not bosses. Terrible idea. In fact, I know my Supervisor is on FB...he has said he will not add any of his subordinates to his FB b/c he doesn't want to be put in an awkward situation.

I have two co-workers on FB and they are people I actually hang out with outside of work. Anyone else, I deny. I just don't trust my co-workers.

Probably rightfully so.

Funny story.

This almost exactly happened to Uma. She wrote up a girl at work. They are friends on FB, as well as the other manager. Well the girl got wrote up, took it well, then went home and bitched about it on FB. Too freakin funny. The only difference is Uma didn't go all out on the girl and just ignored it. :gofurslf:

This is a lesson that I'm trying to teach my daughter - to never, EVER put something in writing that can bite you on the ass. It shouldn't matter who is on your facebook... why should something that insulting be broadcast to the world?

Right click. Save.

I heard companies are now getting on facebook, twitter, etc and finding you to see what kind of person you are before hiring.

I wont post anything on a social networking site that could come across as dirtbag behavior.. I save that info for this place. My wife would be more critical of anything I posted online than any employer would be.

Its not real, no manager is going to put that out there with the never ended fear of lawsuits.

I use my real name on facebook because i mostly use it to reconnect with old friends. As a result, everything on my facebook account is absolutely noncontroversial. My coworkers have it, and so do my family. Complaining about people i actually know, i save for places where i'm relatively anonymous. Seems really, really obvious to me :idk:

You've never met my past managers.

Pretty obvious to me too. But you know how it goes...there are people who don't grasp such a concept.

And that is why when it happened to my wife she never said a word about the FB posting.

It appears, that if it's real, the original FB post is perhaps in the UK. Maybe they aren't as sue crazy there as we are here. :idk:
