I currently have about 1000 songs saved on my work computer to listen to. And after 40 hours a week for the past 2 years I hate all of them. I wanna throw things if I hear 8675309 again.
We can't bring iPods(or we aren't supposed to anyway) and I am sick of all the songs on it too, so I won't bother.
Every internet radio website I know of is blocked. The ones that aren't won't play any music for reasons I have no access to. Like the local stations have little players on them, but they just sit there and mock me while not playing any music but act like they might start playing music any minute. :tt:
Any other suggestions on how to get to music at work? I am dumb at the internet. There must be a secret website I can go to....I mean TWF and IMDB are fully accessible all day every day and yet dictionary.com gets blocked every now and then. :skep:

Most music sights are blocked here but I get Vimeo(video's). Not a great selection bit it fills the void when I forget my IPod.

Do you use iTunes? It's got radio stations on it...and a lot of them. Might work.

Do I have to download iTunes onto the computer to use that? If so, I can't do that.
It seems that the apple/itunes website isn't blocked, which is as good start. But I don't see radio stations....probably available after you download it?

Yeah, you've actually gotta open iTunes, then radio stations are on the left side. I wanna say the iPod came with an iTunes install cd. So if you've got the iPod you might be able to go that route.

Poop. That won't work. I would get in trouble for downloading a program like iTunes.
There has got to be another way to do this....

Funny thing about my work...on my PC I can't download ANYTHING. But on my Mac I can download EVERYTHING. Gov't is funny like that. So all the D/L programs are on there...AIM, Yahoo! MSGR, etc.

What program do you use to play the songs you have now? Most media players can connect to internet radio stations, you just need a link pr a URL. Try this.
http://www.shoutcast.com/
Pick a station, click "Tune In", select the option to use your own media player, a file will download, open that file with Windows Media Player or Quicktime or whatever program youre using and it should start paying.

I am using WMP, but shoutcast is blocked as well. I just tried to go through WMP to find a station and it acts like it's gonna get there and then BAM! Access to this Website it Blocked...

Yeah it's ridiculous.
Someone told me the reason they are all blocked is because it takes up too much bandwidth and if everyone was using them, it would slow all our systems way down. 99% of what we do is internet based.

Same for XM.
I think I've just given up. I'm just going to have to get some more music to bring up here and save to the computer.

The name alone implies that you will not be getting much productivity done.
