Good luck!!! little tip, dont go for everyones radiator thinking it will take em out. Shot for their front wheels and tires. Especially the front wheel drives. Take out their steering and they are meat on the table!

so im running this thing today at 7pm, on my way to the fair im stopping at my cousin's to get some pics with him and the car

hopefully its a respectable outcome but if the car starts to give me any kind of trouble im going on a kamikaze mission and ramming the first moving car i see, no sense in limping around the track

i'll let ya'll know how i do when i get home and hopefully i get a lot of pics from all my family

Phil did a pretty good job! He didn't last toooo long but he got some good shots in while he was there. And to make it interesting, another car caught on fire. Phil's uncle who had been doing to derby's for years (Phil's dad used to do them, so they've been going for like at least 20 years) said he's never seen a car go up in flames like that at the demo. The guy inside was lucky to get out. Scary shit. But Phil was a safe distance away so for ONCE, he did not get hurt!!

Phil's step mom was sitting 2 rows ahead of me and turned around once that fire happened and said "he's not allowed to do this anymore" lol. All in all a good time. I'm proud of my hunni, but at the same time as soon as that fire happened the first thing I thought was that it could have been Phil. Soooo, I'm torn.

Either way, congrats babe!! I took some pics and video too. I'm sure Phil will get to posting them before I do.

the good new,
i got best appearance and even got a trophy for it
i had a great time and didnt get hurt like i usually do
i got 3 good hits and i wasnt the 1st one out
and i lasted just over 1 minute

the bad news
the car was so rusted the back end just caved in under the car and ripped my gas tank in two ending my night (no gas no go) i put my passenger side back tire through the floor and into my back seat

That was a GREAT derby! I have some really good pics and video, but I have to split the video up, since it's 20 minutes long...I'll post em up tomorrow evening. Jarv, it was great to meet you AND see all the support in the stands wearing those bright shirts!

they were very lax on hte rules, long sleves and pants were required. earlyier in the year NY state had their first death in a demo, it was an officilal but the company that puts it together has a feeling insurance is going to make the rules a lot more strict then what they even are now

i wish i could have just pulled it out and put a new gas tank in it, i didnt take one hit to the front the engine was still in perfect condition

everyone said i was flying but i dont know how fast i was going cuz i took out the dash, as for the impact i dont remember it jerking me around that much it happened all so fast it was like i was in a video game. i did wake up the next morning with my ribs a little sore from where the seat belt went across my chest but after i was up for an hour or so the pain went away. i think with the way the car just crunched together it absorb most the the hit, if i had a car with a stronger frame and body im sure i would be a little more sore

You were hauling pretty good. I got the start right up to after the point when you were out of it. I got some still shots of the fire, but no vids. You went about a foot off the ground when you decided to piggyback another car...:lol: As soon as I get a free minute, I'm going to try to reduce the vid size and upload what I got. Till then, here's a few pics. Next time, I'll have to meet your better half!

Good luck with the job! We'll definitely have to try and hook up for a ride before the cold weather hits. Right now is about perfect riding weather.
