Hyosung V2S 250R 2007 has 8,300miles on it. has one more year of warranty left . Located in Chattanooga Tn. Ive taken this bike everywhere and its performed like a champ. My friend has a CBR 1000 and when we went to a local mt. to ride I was able to keep up with him through every turn. This bike has all the bells and whistles of a SportBike. This isnt a Ninja 250 or late 80's style bike it looks like a modern SportBike and will have everyone asking what it is. This bike has been broken in and has several thousand more miles left on it. It averages 80 miles a gallon and easily will hit 100mph. Its a V-Twin angled at 72Degrees for optimal low to mid range torque. This bike has more get up than a Ninja 250 and more mid range power than a Ninja 250 which is great when going through turns cause you can quickly accelerate through the curves. This has been a very nice bike for me and ive learned a lot on it. i have pretty much pushed it to the limit and can no longer learn anymore from it. I'm selling it for 2,200, the low price is due to the need of the cash ASAP i live in Georgia and have benefited from the HOPE scholarship for the past year but my grades have slipped a bit and i will no longer recieve hope. i need the money for college and 2,200 will cover it.

Here are a few pics of my bike

I doubt most of us push that 250 to it's limit...

and I know we ALL could learn something from riding it

You could only do so much with a 250.

seems everyone says they want one to "fuck around with" or "that would be sweet at the track" etc... until they are presented with a good oportunity, they don't want it anymore.

In 8,300 miles on a Hyo 250... I'd say it's possible he pushed the limits of the bike.

Yeah I gotta agree. Sure fpzx you can put a way better time down on the track on the 250 than he could... but thats not the point. Honestly how many people here started on a 600s or more? If he did actually put 8300 miles on it he's ready to move up.

What the hell is a hyosung? Who makes it? Are they like pepboys sportbikes or something? 2200bux for a no name bike, i think ill take the less powerful(as he states) ninja 250.

actually from all acounts that I've read... it's a pretty good quality bike... it's Korean made I think... but it's got the same motor (and frame I think) as the SV650 which is a bullet proof bike...

I had a feeling that had something to do with it.

It's Korean... The motor on the 650 version is identical to the SV650... Frames are not...

Are you sure motors are the same? I've heard some not so good things about the 650 motor.
I've heard not so good things about the 650 in general.

The 250 is supposed to be pretty decent though.

I've witnessed the opposite. There were a few here in Austin that decided to eat themselves. By that, I mean the motors died, ate pistons, threw oil, enough so the dealers bought the bikes BACK from the owners. Of course, that was after going through hell.

i sat on both the 250 and 650 at the bike show... they just felt VERY cheaply made and heavy. especially the 250 felt as heavy as a middleweight bike and it really shouldn't.

Hyosung's are nothing more than inconsistently made peices of shit. Straight up. NONE of the 250s should sell now that the new 250s are out.

Crazy
04-10-2008, 12:57 PM
yeah true... i think they are even priced about the same. they might have made sense next to the old 250 but don't compare to the new one. besides its got the reliability/record of kawasaki

Exactly. Everybody that buys a Hyosung from now on has done so because they simply don't know any better.

Moving up because you think you're ready is fine...

But to say you've exceeded the limits of the bike and can no longer learn anything from it...

That's pure retardation.

My first bike was a Hyo 250 and I liked it UNTIL I got on my F3 but 1. a 250/600 so way more power 2. no suspention in comparison to a set up bike I mean you get what you pay for. The Hyo has a steel frame ( unwanted weight) ,adjustable rear sets ,dual front brakes so it has it's + and -....... anyhow this is what mine looked like

When did this thread get here?

Hyosung 250's are pretty decent bikes but I wouldnt recommend them. There a little too high maintenance. Shit my little 2000 Ninja 250 has more power than an '07 Hyosung 250. Kawi has been at it longer so it makes sense. Also when I asked another one of my friends what he thought about it he said "It sounds like a Briggs & Stratton with straight pipes."
