It's mounted to a hose clamp.

There's a local dude named Roberto who does fantastic work. My buddy's got some sort of deal with him, so he grabs all our suits at track days and takes them to Roberto, then brings them all to the next track days all done.

If you need some repairs you could do the shipping thing though, I'd have to hook you up with his contact info.

Me either... I've got it all done pretty much... just waiting on the painter.

It's a big worm-drive hose clamp, you just tighten the shit out of it. It shouldn't slide off.

Rather, the slider itself IS a hose clamp, sortof.

A couple little updates.

Received and installed the woodcraft 3 piece brake lever that was backordered

http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...6/DSC03011.jpg

Threw a Puig black double bubble windscreen on the stock front cowling. Have a clear oem for the race plastics. No switching necessary now.

http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...6/DSC03013.jpg

Threw on the new pazzo clutch lever, will keep the rashed one as a spare

http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...6/DSC03015.jpg

Threw on a fresh set of stompgrips

http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/f...6/DSC03061.jpg

Put most of the stock fairings and lights back on... now I'm just waiting for some things to come back from paint and I'm good to go. The painter has been really busy...

He has both my fenders... would anyone ride without one? I am thinking sand/rocks/debris would put lots of little nicks in the fork tubes which would then degrade and eventually ruin the fork seals. Thoughts? It seems like a silly thing to keep me from riding, but I'm not in a terrible rush and don't want to fuck up my forks...

One thing's for sure... for the next set of trackdays... she's gonna be looking sick ;)

id be more concerned about fucking up the radiator. dont think it would hurt the forks really, being on the opposite sides of the tire, but everything the tire hits gets shot into the radiator without the fender i think....plus it looks weird

are those stomp grips black, or thats the color of the bike showing thru clear stompgrip?

r!der 07-23-2008 11:57 AM

Damn dude, you wasted no time! Very nice! :dthumb:

Yeah the radiator is a valid concern as well.

The issue with the forks is a car in front of you kicking up little pebbles and shit, if they nick the fork tubes your forks are toast.

Yes, this set of stompgrips is black, not seethru.

True... but do I want to disassemble and rebuild my forks before the next track days because I wouldn't sacrifice a week of street riding?...
