I witnessed one this summer.

Ill tell you all about it if interested, when I get home from work.

Mine was a combination of inexperience and shitty luck.

We were ridding in a series of hills and valleys. Crested a hill, and a few buddies were stopped in front of me in the valley. I never saw them until it was too late. Slammed on the breaks, locked up the rear, did my first and only stoppie, hit two riders, high sided.

I remember watching my bike rotate underneeth me as I flew through the air. Time went very slowly.

Tried to stand up before I was done slidding. That wasn't fun. When I was able to stand up, I ran over and picked up the bike.

60 seconds later, a car came flying down the road, cresting the blind hill. If me and my bike would have still been sliding 60 seconds earlier, we would have both been run over.

Came over the crest of a hill and saw a dump truck taking up both lanes of traffic while backing into a driveway. Rear wheel locked up, caught and flipped me off the bike. I landed behind the dump truck where it continued backing up... right over my left leg.

Once from locking the front brake up and trying to turn/swerve at the same time. Inexperience...totally my fault.

It was my first bike and I had only owned it 4 days and was following too close and the traffic in front of me came to a sudden stop. I was not wearing proper gear either and got road rash all the way up on both arms.

Nothing like tearing up your shiny new bike with 30-day TEMP TAGS !! :lol :screwy: :db:

This was also before they had MSF courses.

I am now a believer in the MSF course for new riders and AGATT

I highsided on a gap run years ago as a result of hamfisted throttle input.

a buddy of ours just highsided at the track this past weekend. He went about 15 feet in the air at ~90mph and landed on his feet. His legs are FUCKED. full of metal now and he won't be able to put ANY weight on them for 3months. Sucks.
