A friend of mine is dating one of the divers thats out there, he's okay but she didnt have any more updates yet either.

Question... how can something be semi submersible? Either it is or it isn't. If you can only put it part way under water, then it would not be submersible, IMO.

There is a vessel that IS called a submersible - it is similar to a jack-up in that the bottom is submersed and actually on the ground under water. A semi-submersible-floating is not anchored or tethered. They simply fill the ballast tanks to submerse the bottom of it for stability.

Could be someone else found them besides the coast guard and transocean. There are plenty of boats out there around the mouth of the mississippi.

Can't get in touch with my grandfather right now to confirm, he works directly for that parish president.
