For what he wants to do, that sounds like a better choice.
I love those unplasticky Goldwings. :dthumb:

I just really like CB750's, though. Smaller, more maneuverable, and with a later model engine, zero-maintenance valves. That's what I loved about my Nighthawk: oil/filter changes, new plugs once in a while and that was it.

It actually makes more sense right now to just buy another Nighthawk. Ugly, but cheaper than rebuilding an old bike and I'm finding several with less than 10K miles. Not *so* bad in black...

hrm another option might be a v65 sabre

That's a beaut. Prolly sounds tits with the shorty pipe and pods too. And its a kickstart model? Dave approves.

I myself have wondered if I could buy and fix up an old CB, KZ, or XS for less than my Buell payment...
But those thoughts are fleeting.
What I'd end up with is a torn apart, no-running project in my garage or whatever storage space I end up with when I move.

Problem for me is I already have one of those with my TLS, was going to powdercoat it and reapint it along with some other things. Well I took it apart and that was about it :(

All I have to do is wait until Tracy moves down here, then I can just buy him a mexican martini now and then in exchange for all the help I need working on a bike. :lol:redflip

Looks like it's only been ridden about 2,000 miles since I sold it in February of 2009. He's asking $450 more than he paid me almost two years ago.

Offer him what he paid you.

He rode a bike for two years for free. You got free storage for two years.

Fair deal all the way around.
