You guys mentioned AMA alot. Remember that Daytona Motorsports Group bought the rights to the roadrace series. DMG has complete control of the series and has say so on all the rules and venues.

They have shit on the manufacturers, riders, teams, sponsors. The best we can hope for is the AMA to buy it back, fire anyonepreviously employed and adopt WSBK rules or een go back to 08 rules.

or you could see someting like CART/IRl where someon eelse braks away and creates a new racing organization. It seems that everyone doesnt like the new org or set up.

Yes the Manufacturer Industry Council could pull off their own series but it wouldnt be the best option as splitting teams, riders, and sponsors really kills the whole show and whomever survives usually reforms into one series.

Okay, i don't believe that everyone believes that this is a "new attitude"... Come on, Al Luddington has been a part of the AMA organization for a couple decades I bet.

smileyman 07-28-2009 04:08 PM

Al Ludington is a longtime crew chief for the American Honda team who lost his job last winter when Honda Corporate did not like the new DMG rules and pulled out of the series. Jobless he was picked up by DMG as tech director and has been tasked with brining order to the chaos Roger Edmunson has wrought...

Hmm my fault I figured that he had some pull in the past.:idk: Anyway, I think his attitude reflects the general attitude.
