6883 miles, you really didn't like riding it did ya. This new one better have more than that just this year alone.

Gas Man 04-16-2009 09:56 AM

Yeah.. in 06 the bike didnt live with me cause i worked out of town, then i moved n that didnt help cause the wife was still at the old digs. so then i had two places to deal with===suck

07 was good

08 was down right miserable as previously said. i might hv done only 1200 miles n the wife only a few hundred. == suck

grand total == mega suck

honestly it shud be more like 8xxx miles cause i rode it twice for months without a working speedo. its on its third speedo.

got over 600 on the new ride already

it's funny how the miles rack up on a new bike... I wasn't really try'n and had 1100 in 7 days  (I was off work all 7 days) the bike has probably racked up another 100 since :panic: just needed my truck to move stuff after work and shit.

when I get home the truck's gonna be parked for a while... with a for sale sign. so should milage should pick up again :D

If this flood and F'd up hours/weather ever quit, I should start getting miles on mine again too.

I'm guessing that the april 30 TD is out of the question now though... :(

Well for those of you that may give 2 shits... I'll lay out the most recent updates.

I did a set of new speakers
http://www.twowheelfix.com/showthread.php?t=7455

Then I ordered a few other things within 2 orders.

the new air wing luggauge rack for the tourpack.

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...08645_0_0a.jpg

Then decided that the optional brake light might look good under there...

So I ordered that in the smoked lens.

I originally was setup to run as a running light but I wanted it to be just a brake light for more attention.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...Comfort004.jpg

Also, picked up a lid organizer to help maximize space usage for upcoming travels.
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...Comfort001.jpg

Then for the long hauls I ordered a fully adustable backrest.

Started the install by mounting the mechanism
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...Comfort005.jpg

Run the cable and mount the lever
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...Comfort007.jpg

The seat goes back on and you don't even know the difference
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...Comfort008.jpg

grab the backrest itself
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...Comfort009.jpg

Instant, fully adjustable comfort

http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l3...Comfort012.jpg

Put in for a new amp for my b-day, so we'll see if I get that this weekend. :D

Beyond that I think I'm done. Just got the bike back today from its 1k service (I always take every bike in for its first service). So I just want to put on some miles... can't wait to ride to work tomry.
