Considering I proposed to her a year ago, I think I'm a little better than *boyfriend* material at this point. LOL

And Chi, I'll gladly talk to him, but I can't promise it will do any good. :D

I went and talked to the powdercoater yesterday. He owns a Monster and two KTM's, so I think I picked the right place.

I had to order a couple of big-ass sockets and a special socket for the steering stem nut, so I'm awaiting those before I can finish teardown.

For anybody interested, here it is in present form. :D

LOL naah! Wait until you see the finished product. :)

The condition of some of the motor internals. Now that made baby jesus cry. Fortunately for this bike, it's got somebody like me that cares about it to give it the TLC it deserves to bring it back to it's former glory. :)

What color are you going to do the powder coating?

Wheels too or just frame and swing arm?

I'm going to do the frame, subframe and wheels in gloss red. That's what she wants and I think it'll look pretty good.

The swingarm is going to be flat black.

The bodywork will stay black, and I'll work out what color Ducati stickers to put on it when it's a little further along.

kinda like a 1098s theme. I like it. Maybe carry that over to the engine numbers in the newer font on the side?

I was thinking similar to a Senna rep, but they have grey frames.
