I have now learned to much about the Twilight series, I had to look up why the hell you referenced glitter/sparkle. I can't believe that shit is actually in the book.

defector 11-08-2011 01:57 PM

Twilight fags.

So out of everything happening, only one, fat, swollen eyed zombie was able to find the farm, and fall in a weel, no less?
Is the house that the squidbilly went to search, his childhood home? Obviously somebody is there, so I figured it would be his brother.

I first thought little girl, but since we know his bro's coming back... I'm thinking bro now... however, I doubt this bro would hold up in a closet like that... :idk:

I can see him using it as a base. Being he lost a hand, hes goin gto have a hard time hunting/fending for himself so I can see him laying low and being a roaming scavenger, but can also see him seeking familiar territory.

Squidbilly was quite poetic and philosophical when talking about the flower.

Seems like hes comming around and being a mor eintegral par tof the group. i am curious to se ehow he reacts when his brother returns, yo uknow he will want to kill rick and the black guy since they left him for dead.

I am curious too as to how he got out of the city and fended for himself for the week or 2 that ha sseemed to have passed since then.

I remember in the 1st season, Daryl seamed to react like he was pissed but kind of understood his brother was a dipshit.

Also Merle appears to have gotten skinnier in the short bit we saw him.

I guess he also knew his brother had his back and now hes dealing withthe rest of the group including 2 well armed cops. But now that theyre off in the woods looking for that girl hes in his element.

Also seemed odd that when they went to the pharmacy that the town was deserted and not over run with zombies, why not stay there and take advantage of the buildings and more supplies.

Smittie61984 11-08-2011 06:41 PM

That was odd too. Especially to tie up their horses then fornicate. Maybe they are stumbled into the set of teh Truman Show and the zombies haven't gotten in their yet. Very odd.

I wonder why the military just didn't napalm Atlanta when it went to complete shit.

I would welcome it because it needs it. My school is in downtown Atlanta and where a lot of the walking dead was filmed. Honestly it's hard to tell whether they are filming or not because all of the homeless people and hipsters look like zombies (except smell worse).

Hell, everyday I get a new email from my school about someone getting beat, robbed, shanked, or ran over.

Maybe if they blow up Hartsfield-Jackson-(insert other politician name)-Atlanta airport, they'll go through with the Briscoe Field privatization!

Does Chattanooga have enough flat land to have an airport? Or do they just shove people out of the plane with a chute while on their way to Atlanta?

So that explains the recent report I saw on the news stating the average measured IQ in the Chattanooga area dropped recently.

Her note asked where he wanted to hook up with her later.
He replied "Ever done it in a hay loft?", which she didn't read until well after dinner.

(anything more is a spoiler)

Now were on to something.

I am assuming some of those walkers are family members of those people. What I wonder is how they got them in there in the first place. I am sure the vet is studying them or trying to find a cure or something.

What I am also wondering is did daryl get bit when that thing tried gnawing at his foot.

I don't think Daryl's infected... his shoe looked perfectly in tact when he kicked the walker off... I did notice that when they were carrying him back to the house, one of the ears got into his mouth... I doubt they'll do anything with that...

Here's a clip from next week's episode, but not what they showed at the end of this week's: http://www.amctv.com/the-walking-dea...de-206-secrets

pauldun170 11-14-2011 09:59 AM

So..
If you get bit, you die of infection and become a zombie
If you have open wounds from:
1. falling off a horse
2. Falling down a cliff
3. A puncture wound from a flying dildo attack
and zombie guts\entrails\brain pieces fly all over the place from the awesome combo attack you just unleashed on it...
All you got do is wipe off that scratch that is now covered in zombie filth with a dirty rag.
Wrap it in a cloth pre-soaked in sweat and zombie gut.
No need to worry about infection.

I would like to see more bandaids on this show.
It would add realism

Starting to wonder about that old guy at the house now, after seeing that it seems like hes def hiding a lot of stuff, hell I would consider killin ghim and his family and taking over that farm, seems like they have plenty of supplies and water and electricity and zombies dont go there.

I'd want to feed myself to the zombies after hearing him talk. Dude is a horrible actor.

Nobody's ever seen the movie "Fido"? Damned zombies in the barn work for old dude. Fetch sticks, retrieve ducks he's shot, 'n stuff.

I'm kinda diggin' the zombie mosh pit in the barn. But this just means they will escape and kill the people that locked them in there.

Doesnt seem like it but I think that may be what the old guy is doing. In the on eepisode where they chase the girl, rick says he gets tired running and they dont. I would want to know if they have fear, react to pain and find any other weaknesses to exploit aside from mashing their brains in.

Well that one got his head chopped off and had his jaws still wanting to chomp and tear everyone up so I'm guessing they have no fear and can only be killed by smashing their brains. Wether they have pain I don't know. I remember hte one guy saying his bones felt brittle while riding the RV.

though one thing I find interesting is that zombies are suppose to be working off of their brainstem only (which the doctor clarified at the CDC with that bitchin brain scanner) which is why they only worry about feeding and are aggressive. But when Daryl shot that one in the river the arrow went no where near the brainstem.

I agree. They better have some crazy shit happen after this. What I mainly got from this episode are women are fucking nuts and if you want to live you need to kill them or chop your balls off so you don't have to give a damn about them. The blonde one needs to die for sure. Her daddy issues are going to get someone killed.

Nothing like a zombie apocalypse to help you get some ass. Seems like the old man and the kid are the only ones not getting action.

If the old man keeps pushing people's buttons then the only thing he's going to get is his legs broken, when he gets tossed in the barn.

I'm curious about that too. You have farm animals running around, lights at night, generators, camp fires, humans. That shit would attract a real human much less zombies who pick up on anything.

Not sure what the timeline is here... It seems as though it hasn't been long since everything got started... they are in a rural area... could possibly just be a matter of chance and time... I'd imagine some in the barn stumbled onto the property, then there's the guy in the well...

I'd say it stands to reason that the 'herds' are more apt to travel down the well beaten path - ala the roads.

I would go with that. Seem slike this season from that day on the hwy to now isnt much more than a week or 2 if you go back and kinda count the days. Plus with the girl missing it cant be too long since theyre still searching for her.

They've run into plenty of zombies in the woods, on the back roads, etc.. I'm betting that it has something to do with the zombies being too dumb to climb, or go through a fence, given how adamant farm dad was about making sure that the gate was closed. So far we've seen them tear down fences, when there's 'food' nearby, but I can't remember any of them really climbing much.

I think the fences may be so far away from the house the zombies may encounter a fence and go a different way. If they were chasing soemthing I am sure they could easily get through that chicken wire. In the woods I cant see them goin gover rather technical or hilly terrain, much less climbing up some of these hills.

So far we've seen them tear down fences, when there's 'food' nearby, but I can't remember any of them really climbing much.

That too... I was referring more to a herd...

A herd of zombies starts with a single zombie, and a lot of 'food.'

I think Rick was in the hospital for about a month. If you remember when they went to the CDC that the doctor said it was "90 days since operation __________, and 60 days since the outbreak" or something along those lines. May have been 30 days.

The zombies have no problem giong over fences if they have a reason to. In the 1st season when they went to the construction site one zombie jumped the fence fairly easily and went after them.

I think the smell of cows, horses, chickens, camp fires, etc would be plenty to draw them over some little fence since they have the ability to smell slightly stinky humans over their foul dead B.O. Not to mention the sounds.

Good call, I forgot about that part. I think soem of it depends on the condition of the zombies, soem seem to move rather good and others jsut kinda slog along. I was thinking about the scene at the construction site and how they prety much knocked down the fence, which would lead me to thing they can go over a BS chicken wire fence rather easily.

That scene was filmed at my school and I think the construction site is right next to my science building. Maybe they're just educated zombies and not retarded hillbilly zombies from rural Georgia.

I'm curious about that too. You have farm animals running around, lights at night, generators, camp fires, humans. That shit would attract a real human much less zombies who pick up on anything.

Because it's become touchy, feely, woman inspired shit?

Do you think a man would have written in the pregnancy? Do you think a man would have the old guy have a viagra induced boner over Andrea?

I keep watching like a fool hoping it will get better. And I'm constantly disappointed.

Sick episode... now, WTF is up with the mid-season finale and that this shit isn't restarting until February? Fuck that... Last week I kept hearing about 'next week's mid-season finale' and it never really registered on me... Why the break?

That shit drives me nuts. They take a couple of weeks' break in the fall, then take a 'mis-season break' through the holiday season (for you guys, that's Thanksgiving through late January I guess), then wonder why viewership drops off?

derf 11-28-2011 12:19 PM

Yes, but it allows them to have new shows in the winter/spring without having to buy new shows. This allows the to recycle the current first half of season 2 between now and feb for folks like me who missed most of the episodes.

Except I hate the mid season break too, and usually forget to start watching them until months after they air

Granted. If that had been the case, though, they would have missed that tearful scene in which you find out why Rick is their leader (because he's the only one with the balls to do the REAL hard stuff).

Shane has lost his mind IMO but I think he did bring up some valid points esp withthe walkers in the barn and their safety. Problem now is he has the psycho chick on his dick and shes walking around like shes a bad ass killer too. Makes ya think had he not killed the fat guy they may have figured out the little girl was in the barn

I'm wondering what the reaction is going to be.... They MUST have known that they had the little girl everyone was looking for in the barn the whole time everyone was looking for her and risking their lives.... I'd be WAY pissed for sure.

Although, since Otis was the one that "normally handled" the walkers.... I just don't see that as a valid excuse since they feed them everyday, work together in their capture and are a close enough group that I'm sure it would be something worth discussing at the dinner table. I didn't see any other children in the barn....:idk:

Shane is a psycho, who also happens to be able to use a handgun remarkably well. He's a liability. Diplomacy would likely have solved that particular issue without getting them all kicked off the farm (or having to fight to stay), but that option is gone now.

They likely would have known that she was in there, the moment that they tossed in the two that they were dragging back.

The suicide blonde is no longer suicidal, plus is pretty handy with a gun now. That's an asset. Shane would put a bullet in his buddy's head, to be with his wife. He needs to eat a bullet.

Thats what I am curious to see, it the trailers it looks like they are going to get thrown off the farm. Seems like people arent being truthful on many fronts so I could see the others not realy putting one and one together withthe little girl at least at first since the main focus was on carl after he got shot. it seems like th epeeps on the farm were fine keeping their heads in the sand and not being aware of whats going on.

I am also curious to see how it play sout with shane and the old guy now since he seems to have figured out what kind of guy shane realy is and has already called him on it.

Seems to me like the blonde is getting a taste for the killing. Between the neighborhood horde and the barn slaughter, she seemed to be enjoying it. She was already ready to bail on the group with Shane at the church. This was before he taught her to shoot. Now that she's also riding his jock, all bets are off...

Dont know why but she reminds me of the kid in red dawn, he drinks the deer blood then becomes a hardcore killer. He died in the show and I am still hoping someone puts a bullet in her head too.

EpyonXero 11-29-2011 10:31 AM

I agree that Shane needs to go. Hes useful as a zombie killer but other than that hes a lose cannon if I were Rick and now the old man Id be sleeping with one eye open. Ints inevitable that the group is going to end up splintering into Team Rick and Team Shane but at this point I think the only one who would miss Shane is the blonde hes banging and maybe the skinny whiny pregnant one.

The old guy seems to have more dirt to spill on shane from him figuring he shot otis and when he had rick in his gunsights. he also went off on the redneck guy so I a msure he would like ot see him go as hes been becomming a bigger part of the group.

the pregnant one needs him around too so she can have something to be bitchy and whiny and has someone ot direct it at.

I'm thinking that someone on the writing staff has had a few psych courses because the literature refers to suicide as a last gasp attempt to gain control of a life, that the person committing suicide thinks is out of his or her control. Being able to defend yourself, in a post zombie apocalypse world is a form of control.

Therefore shooting things = no wrist cutting

I'll buy that - to a point. But unless I misinterpreted it (or imagined it), she let one walker in the neighborhood get right up on her before she performed the lead labotomy.
I also thought she was smiling as she was standing on the firing line at the barn. Everyone else (except Shane) looked like they were fearing for their lives. She looked like it was (moving) target practice.

I think she had trouble making headshots before that one got up close then she was kind of panicking then blasted that one and it all clicked. Afte rthat it seemed like she didnt miss.

At the barn she was def all into it and I think the others were more that they had to kill them or be killed.

I think the redhead was becomming more like them too she seemed to give glen the ok to pick up a gun and start shooting in the end.

In past episodes they didnt seem to want to shoot and I figured they were conserving ammo but now it seems like they have an unlimited supply of bullets.

Could be. I will have to watch it again, but I thought she cleared the jam already, and purposely let it get closer before she fired. Clearly, it got her moist, since in the next scene she had a handfull of Shane's crank.

I think the farmers daughter had a change of thought process after the drugstore incident. Don't think she sees them as people anymore.

I agree, she even said as much when glenn saved her butt in the drugstore. I dont think he ror the family realy had much exposure to them aside from the herd in the barn, then when one grabbed her and came close to killing her it changed her view on things.

Yeah and if they do leave the farm (they have to leave, the farm is boring and now all the zombies are dead) shes probably going with them.
