Last year I was drunk from Thursday night till the Sunday a week later. I'll have to cut it down to thursday-saturday night of the same week this year.

Cutty72 03-06-2009 12:12 AM

oh that's too bad.

t-homo 03-06-2009 12:32 AM

I was in IFC (Interfraternity Council, the guys who are supposed to watch for hazing and whatnot) and they were a huge drinking organization at the same time. It was trdition that if someone held a higher office or was older than you and told you to "go" you had to chug your beer. I was standing on the roof, was tossed a beer that expired 2 years before, was shaken up, and told to chug. Quickest I ever drank a nasty beer in my life.

t-homo 03-06-2009 12:34 AM

We did have one of those 3 man water balloon launchers and had a war with some guys on the roof at the fraternity across the street. Just for clarification, that isn't our house, but an apartment that the older guys can live in if they want to.

Here are a couple pics of the house.

Cutty72 03-06-2009 12:35 AM

Damn, your house is way nicer than the chapter here in fargo.

t-homo 03-06-2009 12:39 AM

They said it cost $3 Million to build back in 89, the year I was born. Re-appriased in mid 2000s at $5.something million. Sad part is that there is 1/2 inch plywood behind most of the drywall since it has been broken so much. Got the stairs re-carpeted my first semester and you couldn't tell by the middle of the second semester.

Typical fraternity house...

Mine is getting a complete remodel next year. Fundraising has begun!

t-homo 03-06-2009 12:46 AM

Nice. What fraternity were you in?

Two of my pledge bros got tattoos of our crest, and I'm hoping to do the same within the next year or so. I went with him and it took the guy an hour to draw it onto the paper, then 5 hours of actual tattooing.

Now, I'm just rummaging through my Photobucket account and computer for pictures from last year.

fatburg 03-06-2009 07:48 AM

pfft...ugly house. Pan that photo over about 6 blocks and you'll see a damn gorgeous house:dthumb:

that shit gets real old real quick... I couldn't sleep for shit in Korea... I'd wake up about 10-15 times a night... like full awake.. check the time... then roll over and go back to sleep.

I thought it might have been sleep apnea... but when I came home on my mid tour for Indy... I slept like a baby. but same shit when I went back... :idk:

now... I'm sleep'n perfect again... and FUCK I've missed that... wake'n up tired sucks ASS

Alpha Gamma Rho, Epsilon chapter. Pin #1425

We had a couple guys get AGR tattooed as well, not the crest though.

t-homo 03-06-2009 10:28 AM

There is an AG Rho house here at MO state where I am now. Seem like pretty cool guys.

Fatburg, you were a pike, therefore your opinion doesn't matter. Too bad you never got to live in the incredible house. :P

They are just a smidge snug across the chest but not enough to go a size bigger. The pants are just a smidge long, could have probably go a size smaller. But overall, bout as good as I can expect them fit off the shelf at my shape.

Thats the only benefit of being here at 5am...I'm out at 1 and I can enjoy the day.

Me too. I've about given up on getting some semblence of a normal routine. It seems the harder I try to go to bed at a decent time, the longer I lay in bed trying to go to sleep. Stupid night shit.

Yeah I believe they belonged to DLit before Marco had them, then I owned them. Now you can pass them on when you are done with them.

Yeah, got it back from that and then parked it for the winter. First time it's been ridden since. Seemed a little smoother, but I was keeping the R's up too.

And now today, we are in a blizzard warning area. Freezing rain all night so glare ice on all the roads, with up to 14" of blowing snow. :panic:

Mini-Me has only had one boyfriend and she's had him for a year and a half now. I really like him.

She's tomboy like me so she has lots of guy friends. Then there's my son's friends. Between them, that's alot of teenage boys. I've only found one I didn't care for. Most of them are cool. They respect and like me. But I think they fear me too.

There's something about a 15-16 year old kid who towers more than a foot above you snapping to attention and being very polite when you talk to them. Especially when they know you're pissed, and not necessarily at them.

Cutty72 03-11-2009 12:25 AM

From a guys POV, the mother is generally more fearsome than the father. Don't ask me why. I was WAY more intimidated by my dad than my mom.

yeah, think it would suck more having some interviews then hearing nothing back. sorry, wasn't trying to kick you or anything.

I did have my unemployment call monday so that is out of the way. she told me that my last employer hadn't sent anything in yet so hopefully that means they aren't going to fight it and the money starts coming in.

Didn't think you were kicking me. :)

I'm still waiting on my unemployment. I got all the paperwork in and even the handy dandy credit card they put it on. But they tell me it's so backed up (typical La) that it can take up to 8 weeks to get the first check....four weeks to get a notice in the mail confirming I'm approved. I applied a couple of weeks ago. Blah.

On a more positive note, my ex employer kept her word. I received a check for two weeks pay as a severance check. I knew I was owed for my vacation pay of one week. Bonus for the second week. Every little bit helps. :)

holy shit, 8 weeks. that's crazy. I was told that I would know by the end of the week if it goes through. they didn't point out that it would take any longer to get the benefits though. did they send you anything about getting and extra $25 (taxable of course) over what your unemployment was supposed to be?

they are doing it electronically, how the hell can it take any longer? that don't make any sense.

I may have to start deciding if I'm going to pay the biggest bill I have soon.

I found out about the increase through snail mail and the website when I logged on. So it's an increase throughout all the states? Damn....and here I thought La was doing something special.

I don't know why it's taking them longer. I have called a few times about it and they told me since there's been triple the amount of claims in the last few months it's taking longer.

A friend's took 6 weeks.

Of course, they're probably giving a generalized statement on how long it's taking. That's what I'm hoping for and it'll come in sooner than expected. Or I'm going to be SOL soon if something doesn't come through quickly. :(

Driving in the snow is great fun BUT, all roads were closed, no travel advised.
There was an average of 3.5 feet of snow in my driveway, hardpacked by the wind.
-20 degrees, with -45 windchill
Not my idea of fun... today would have been a great day to go play however.
High of 0, but sunny and somewhat calm. All roads were open by 2:30pm and life was somewhat back to normal.

One funny story. Some guy decided yesterday evening that he needed milk. All roads had been closed for hours. He takes off anyway, to a town about 30 miles away, and of course gets stranded. It takes 2 State plow trucks and a road grader to get to him, along with a couple state troopers for the rescue.
In the end, he gets fined $1000 PLUS has to pay the wages and expense of all the equipment used to rescue him... and he never did get his milk!

what a dumbass.

Here are a few pics of my driveway this morning. Took about an hour and a half with a 10 horse 30" cut snowblower to clear it.

Pic from the corner of my garage looking to driveway.

Our "city plow" consists of 2 pieces of equipment.

1. a Versatile bi-directional tractor with a snowblower and a blade

2. an old beat up chevy pickup with a plow on the front.

THey had only made one pass with just the plow when I cleared my driveway. I actually do more street cleaning with my snowblower than they do.

Now I don't feel quite so bad about the cold front that just moved through here. Yesterday it was in the mid 80's and today's high was 51! :wtf: Tomorrow promises to be even cooler.

new tires....

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........

the fact that they are new, dif brand than previous, alil more performance orientated than touring, and i went to a 180/55 from the 190/50 that was on there (5.5inch rim) makes for a new way sweeter handling bike. me likes:rockwoot:

however-the fact that it made such a dif lets me know i waited longer than i shouldve to put new rubber on-oops
