Since the new season doesn't start until fall...
What happens if you put fresh (say chicken) blood on a walker? Would any other walkers around attack and eat it? What happens if a walker eats dead flesh? Why do some walkers (like the one that fucked up Dale) only eat organs? That thing could have been gnawing on that cow for days.

I read something somewhere that zombies eat on instinct not for nutrition as they are continuously decaying/decomposing.

Remember the one in the well it wouldnt go for the ham but went for a live person when they lowered glen. Seems their senses are intact as they go be smell sight and hearing it seems

Yet when Rick smeared blood on the fence and Shane on the bus, they went directly for it. You dump blood on a walker that moves, and smells of fresh blood would that not trigger the "hunting" or "survival" instinct?

Good point, I forgot about that. I guess it might, or it would put them into more of a feeding frenzy. Remember when rick and glen smeared zombie guts on them to get to the truck? They blended in untill the rain washed of fhte scent then they could "smell" that they were living and not dead like them.

Get a few pints of blood and spray it on a herd and they may all turn on each other.

Trip 03-20-2012 05:57 PM

They have noticed that some walkers appear malnutritioned in the comics and don't have energy to chase food. They may require food.

Exactly. And that is just the carnage I'm looking for!

Remember how the Indians (sorry, "Native Americans) used to hunt buffalo? Chase them off a cliff. Should be able to lure them off a cliff with some 'food'. The ones in back would push the ones in front over.

Could also be those are decaying or were weaker when they converted. Plus some that were bit, got chomped on prety good so they may have lost a lot of muscle. Remember the one rick shot in the park with no legs.

I think a lot of that wa sbased on romeros works and in soem zombie flicks they became stronger and faster when they converted so its all up the writers there.

I can watch a show and not judge the characters. Everyone has some point to the show and I just read ya'lls comments on how you hate who and what. Well I've done great until the season finally. Damn characters getting all annoying.

Carl: Acted all big and bad earlier. Shoot him dad. Blow his head off carl says, but when daddy gets all down to serious biznass on surviving he goes to mommy and cries. Yes I know he's just a kid.

Lori: Feels Rick's head up with how evil Shane is and when Rick finally does something about it she acts as if he's crazy. Typical woman.

RV kid: WTF!! Why did you stop you fucking moron!

Carol: Helpless and depended on Rick and everyone else to keep her alive, then she keeps nagging Daryl to take charge. Bitch! Sit yo ass down and shut up.

I'd like to know what kind of shotgun Hershell was using, because that fucking thing carried 20+ shells fully loaded.

Now I'm looking forward to Falling Skies this Summer.

Papa_Complex 03-25-2012 08:05 PM

I thought that they cancelled that thing?

Was wondering the same thing, he just kept pumping shots away. It also seems like when they got to the farm they all of a sudden had unlimited ammo where they can hold target practice. I now wonder why all that shooting never attracted the zombies but this single gunshot did.

Trip 03-25-2012 10:59 PM

I hope they progress falling skies a little faster, it's going to get cancelled if they don't ramp up the story.

The brief timeline of the herd they provided seemed to suggest it was just a matter of timing that they ended up that close when ZombieShane was shot. Dunno. There's some holes, just like every TV show / movie.

The other thing that made me wonder WTF was the way they magically ended up meeting together at the end of the episode (except for the blonde bitch, of course). And they still use that loud ass bike.

They met up where they lost/left food for the little girl.

Falling Skies is one of those shows, like Walking Dead, that makes me crazy because the characters are so slow at figuring stuff out. I can't believe, for example, that they haven't figured out what the Skitters are yet.

Then again I've been reading hard SF since I was 6.

I would think there were multiple herds, they seemed to portray the one tha tover ran the farm as the one that rick and the guys encounered in atlanta. But they also ran into decent numbers in town and by the school. SO I figured at least those may have heard all the shooting the other times since they werent that far away.

I know its nit picking but we have a lot of time to kill before season 3

I've been thinking about this.

When Shane died....he BECAME a walker....so did the hostage. Remember, that Darrell said he'd TURNED but there were no bite marks.

To ME.....the Malnutritioned Looking walkers, MAY have been normal people who survived, however died from HUNGER. No bite, no encounter with a walker...just died of hunger. Then since they had the virus, turned postmortem into a walker like Shane, and appear as malnutritioned looking walkers

Papa_Complex 03-28-2012 04:22 PM

That's reasonable.

Then again they could just be hiring heroine addicts off the street, as extras.

some could also be people who were already dead and came back to life who began to decompose. Time wise it seems like a few months since society collapsed so i could see people dying off from starvation. What was odd about the security guards was thier uniforms seemed to be in rather decent shape, not what you would expect from soemone who died of hunger over a prolonged period.

Wasn't it established that the CDC guy told Rick that everyone was already a carrier?

Yes, in the season ender.

azoomm 03-29-2012 07:53 PM

So, you can kill a zombie by breaking it's neck. But, if you die with a broken neck you can still become a zombie?

No. Zombie kill requires a head shot.

If you die of anything, (aside from a head shot) you will become a zombie.

If you get bit by a zombie, you become a zombie, unless they eat your head.

If a zombie gives you head...... I don't know what happens, but it's probably not good.

Now, why there is a distinction between already having the virus, and being bitten, remains a mystery...

If the spinal cord is still good then zombification is good to go. LOL Since zombies aren't real then who's to say what can/can't happen.

So if the preggo lady has a miscarriage, will the fetus turn into a zombie inside of her?

One would think, but I believe 'Dawn of the Dead' already kind of covered that one.
