but I'd like to see Best Road shot separated as it's own category and to separate road from offroad

how about adding, best rally shot (to motivate people to show and take photos) Best travel picture, and Best holiday (any) photo (must be motorcycle related)

Just playing devils advocate here. If only half a dozen folks participate now why would more play along if the voting is reduced to once/year? I see ppl forgetting about it or not caring all together.

I think that ride and holiday might as well be the same category. A holiday is just an EXTENDED ride ;)

So:

- Best bike shot (static)

- Best ride/holiday shot
- Best road shot

With a collection like that,there should be something that everyone could post in. Might even be multiples that people would want to post to, especially if it's perhaps over the course of March through October, or something like that.

Men, I applaud the ideas you're throwing out. But in my mind you're not doing anything different than we currently do. There's nothing to say any of this couldn't have been submitted previously.

yeah I hear ya... but having multiple winners (one in each category) is a change, hopefully one that will invite more participation.

one more idea is to offer a "reward" for the annual winners. we'd need to talk trip into making annual "memberships" to fund this... but something like a $25 gift certificate could entice some submittal

I honestly hope it works.
