Hopefully the local trolls wont be mad at you about this one!

I've always wanted to see what it's like to own a high-falutin' vehicle and well, the market is right. I get it for nearly 20K off MSRP PLUS ridiculous interest rate of 0.49%. So I figured what the hell. The only problem is that it now will affect my motorcycle purchase next year. |

|
Hmmm, If you do decide to sell it shoot me a PM of how much you'd take for it, I might be interested.
|
Actually I've been thinking about doing a full mechanical overhaul for the Z4 and give it to my favorite niece who's half way through college.
The car isn't in that great of a shape. The left side is pretty well dinged up from other jackasses drivers. The driver window motor conked out and the paint is well chipped from my many travels. Anyway, I'm off to sign the deal and pick up the new vehicle. Pics first thing tomorrow. |

Baller. M6's are badass. Prepare to dust-off most sportbikes on the top end.

Wow your rich I look foward to pics...:dthumb:
|
Damn man that is awesome.
|
nice! i hear that v10 is a beast
|
Nice choice man! The new M6's are beasts.
Where's those pics?? |

Ok, not really, but I am quite envious... congrats on the new ride, and I can't wait to see pics of it!! |
Sweet car man. I saw one next to me at a light the other day.. I was:drool: at it. It was a brand new car on a demo ride(The sticker was still in the window) all black.
|
Here it is. The red is more subdued than I usually prefer my rides, but it's a luxury coupe and not a race car. It looks rather elegant in this trim. Full leather interior and I mean full leather plus carbon fiber trim. Very little layout of buttons & visible gimmicks - me likey.
It's fast, but it's not visceral fast like, say, my Aprilia. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/BMWM6009.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/BMWM6008.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/BMWM6010.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/BMWM6011.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/BMWM6012.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/BMWM6014.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/BMWM6015.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/BMWM6017.jpg http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/BMWM6018.jpg |
Nice car but damn.. that's a lot of red in the interior.
|
can we finally get a car forum?
|
Very nice!
|
I don't usually go ga-ga over luxury (even sport model) cars, but damn that is one beautiful machine.
|
what the fuck? are my eyes decieving me here? when did they offer a real tranny with those?
|

Quote:
 Seriously, just a magnificent machine. Enjoy it!!! :rockout: Personally I love the red interior... it's just not something most cars can "get away with," but in the BMW, it's just spectacular. |
Nice ride. :rockwoot:
James |
Can we got an under-hood pic?
And what bike is on the left, next to the Tuono? The backend looks like a Japanese sportbike, it doesn't look like the Rockster. |
Nice! That's the first BMW I've really  over since the Z8.
That interior is... startling, tho :panic: |

Nice ride. If I can make one suggestion-Mount your radar detector permanently.
I used an invisicord.http://invisicord.com/osc2/catalog/index.php?cPath=24 and a visor clip similar to this.http://www.vettemods.com/radarbracket-c6.htm I'm sure your mirror has some kind of power to it. you just need to find a hot and a ground wire and plug it in. Very easy install. Very neat too. |

The fucked up thing is that I gotta learn how to use the iDrive in order to play music, use the Bluetooth and all that shits. Maybe I'll just turn all that shits off and just listen to the engine. The hell with fooling around with all the geegaws. The car is fast but not startlingly fast. It's hard to be impressed with any car's acceleration short of a true drag racer once you've ridden sport bikes. |
That's a very nice ride. I've driven one a few times. I like these along with the AMG Mercedes. I work with a few peeps that have these. Only one has this particular car. I've driven more 7 series.
I don't really care for the i-drive system BUT it is more user friendly than when it first came out...you should have experienced them. :panic: I remember the first time I drove one...the owner wasn't there. I thought WTF !?!?!?!?!?!?....I couldn't even start it and then couldn't get it into gear after I figured out how to start it !!!!:lol: :zowned: Again...very nice ride man...congrats. |
Remember you've also got the M button to play with which frees up an additional 100 horsepower. Do you have to wait until break-in is finished to use it?
|
Congrats man, that car is sick. And the red interior look sweet.
|
WTF!?...i thought you didn't like talking about cars you wanker

whats this M button ?
|
Quote:

The "button" seems like a stupid gimmick to me. In the AMG's or the Porsche Turbo cars you just mash the right foot and go.
Don't get me wrong...I like the M car alot overall...wish I could get one...just think this button is sort of well...stupid. |
Nice ride. Love those cars.
And you're right, you can get them super cheap right now. And thank you for not getting one of those pansy-fake-manual-trannys |
Quote:
Why did you fuck up? Was the Mille a secret? |
congrats man!
and again you have another toy for me to envy. |
Very nice car!!!
|
Holy shit, that car is sick!
|
Nice car. Definitely figure out a different way to power your radar detector and get rid of that cord!!
|

Nice rig. Love the color.
|
hott car mane
congrats:dthumb: |

The only really nice thing about this car is that I can pack all my SCUBA gears in the trunk instead of splitting it up between the trunk and the front seat like on the Z. Anyway, you guys have a great weekend because the brother wil be going off the grid until Monday. It's time for some real life fun with the fishes under the sea. |
sweet ride.
m=more power :dthumb: |
Very nice car...how much was it?
|
Sweet ride - congrats! I've driven a friend's M5, and that V10 engine is a beast...
|
Quote:
Don't get me wrong...the M6 is a much nicer car but I think the button is a useless gimmick that's all. I don't really get the power setting swithches on the GSXR's either and now I hear the 09 R1 will have one...*rolling eyes*. :idk: |

Well, this is a blow to my ego. I pulled up to the parking lot to unload my dive gear and one of the chicks that I have dove with before said, "Hey, what happen to your cute convertible?" So much for the M-car to be a pussy magnet. That motherfucker is more of a dick magnet because the only people that went gaga-eyed for it were the guys. Faaaaack!!!
Somebody please tell me again why the fuck did I buy this thing instead of a couple of hot ass motorcycles? |

Hey, just because it's there, it doesn't mean that you should use it. But I'm sure that the newbies will be like, "Hey, I can switch it to Map C until I get better and then go to Map A." |
Great looking car. Looks like you live down in Irvine huh?
|
I like the dual maps in my Cayman S - sport is good for enthusiastic driving, but normal is smoother in heavy traffic and parking lots.
|
Gorgeous ride!! Not too hawt on the interior, but overall, looks like an awesome buy!

Do you know how it is sometimes you just do some shit even though you know that you are not too crazy about it?
It's kinda like that with me and this car and me and the MV Agusta Brutale 910. I knew right away that I don't care much for the I-4 engine even though the bike was prettier than heck. I didn't like the way it handled either. Yet I bought the damn thing anyway and ended up selling it six months later. It's like that with this car. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty fun romping on the throttle. 500-horsies do some decent damage, but when I take it into the canyons, I can feel the bulk of the car fighting against me and the road. It's not like the Z4. Granted that the M6 is a luxury GT and not a sport car. And I guess I just want to know what it's like to own a very expensive car. Obviously it's not a Bentley Sedan or a Rolls, but its regular MSRP is up there with the cheaper Bentleys, Ferraris and Lambos. I guess I'm having a bit of a buyer remorse. But I'll just hop on the Aprilia scooter for a short jaunt and Mr. PeePee will be happy again.:rockwoot: |

Just  Now, if you boys don't mind, I'm off to have a moment. |
I hope one day to own a Ferarri... but that is about the only car that I will ever truely WANT. I mean I guess all of those Ferarris, Lambos, Ford GT's, Porsche's are all the same... but whatever.
I'll stick with a bike. So Fnfalman, do you own 2 aprillia's currently???? |

I'm not trying to Piss in anyones Cheerio's or Ruffle any feathers but I just gotta Say...Are You Fucking Kidding Me?? You Bought a Car that STARTS at 100k...And your Having Buyers Remorse?? If you wanted to Know what its like to own an expensive car wouldnt you Buy one you Would Actually Enjoy?? It Just seems like you throw your money around with no regard for your own well being...then your gonna tell everyone "Its just a car"... Must Be Nice to Ball that hard... |
fnfalman, time for a trade in.

And no, I can't afford a Ferrari. Maybe a cheaper Ferrari but that means that I must sell all my two-wheelers. NO FUCKING WAY IN HELL!!! |
Im here, in Florida, freezin my arse off!!
Well, if she doesnt turn you on, keep it on two and use it only for commuting if ya have to. Oh, and picking up chicks drawn to shiny objects. Ferrari,, but not worth the $ IMO...you can get your car kicks out of way less expensive vehicles...hmmm, maybe demo derby?! |
I don't see anything wrong with a bit of buyers remorse even for a 100k car. It is silly to assume that there is always a strong correlation between money and happiness.
You can always look into models that you have really liked and look at buying a slightly used vehicle. Odds are that if it is also a high end vehicle, it will have been well taken care of and you would be getting an equally nice car for a bit cheaper. That is assuming that there are some models you would rather have. |

Nice car, but sweet christ are you Ed's long lost brother?

The M6 one just let's you decide if you want to ride around with 400 hp or 500 hp I believe and that's kind of crazy to me that's all. I just don't see a need for it on a sportbike on the street at all. Quote:

Being married hasn't hurt me financially @ all. :idk:
The kid hasn't either, but the $1200+/mo. childcare expense hasn't started yet! (when it does, it'll be worth every penny) |
If you can afford the M6 you can afford a ferrari just not a brand new one. Mantaining a ferrari will hurt the wallet alot worse than the BMW though. Ferrari maintanence is definitly not a myth.

A friend of mine bought an early F360 prob. around 6 months ago. He got a steal of a deal on it, I forgot if it was $70 or $80K. He's making it up in maint. and repairs, which have totaled about $22K so far!

If I was out shopping with that much money for a new and fast car, I'd probably get a new Z06, no it doesn't have the bling of a Ferrari, But as long as GM is open it will have a warranty.
