Mr Lefty 03-17-2008 05:47 AM

At my full time job we do powder coating.

What do you have that you need done?

I may be able to hook you up, if you'll pay shipping both ways.

Right now I just want my levers, bar clamp, shift shaft arm for sure... Haven't fully decided if I want to piss around with my pegs, foot controls, and heal guards... and I'm really undecided about my engine covers (not sure if I really want to mess with tearing it down like that just yet...

Mule 03-17-2008 07:13 AM

i've got a guy down here that has done all of my parts. He does a great job and his prices are reasonable....

some of the engine casings, you'll literally have to drop the motor to be able to get to the fasteners...

I had my footpegs and heel guards powdercoated and they came out great

Ok... so the guy on my local board just quoted me at $40 for both hand levers, both foot levers, both pegs, both healguards, handlebar clamp, and my engine covers in two different colors.

Seems ridiculously cheap... I'm amped.

and you can make some nice track day $$$ doing it! he powdercoated EVERYTHING.. he'd do a set of wheels for like $50... and it'd cost him less than $5 for the stuff... he'd pocket a good 200 a month... EASY... that's less than a weekend of work

Cutty72 03-24-2008 12:52 AM

sweet deal, get him the shit quick before he sobers up and realizes he can make more!

Gas Man 03-24-2008 01:46 PM

That is a smokin deal... you are basically stealing the powder for that price!!!

It is, someone in my office can do really tiny stuff in a toaster oven... It's so simple a caveman could do it.

marko138 03-24-2008 02:18 PM

Cavemen get upset by those kind of statements.
