I truly laughed at this the first time I saw it. Funny commercial. Random and funny.... I looked forward to seeing it again just b/c it was so goofy and it caught my attention.

I did laugh the first time I saw it when it was the close up shot of him on the beach and then realized he was on a horse riding backwards. :lol:

I busted out laughing at these...there were two of them, the one with him on the horse backwards and another where he keeps changing scenes.

Both are friggin hilarious. My husband is not allowed to use Old Spice, but that's just because that's what my dad uses....and the creepiness, I do not believe, needs to be explained. :lol:

Alyssa Milano is still hot and all, but imagine shelling out the coin for some chick to eat good surf and turf and she doesn't put out. Now multiply that by 1,000 and it is a good approximation of the end result of the Old Spice guy forking over $100k. Shit, the guy has been in a couple commercials. That can't have put very much in his pocket. With Milano's long acting career and her clothing line she better have donated millions to the same fund before having the "balls" to ask for a hundred large from this guy.

He was also an NFLer, if memory serves. That tends to put some folding green in the pockets.

Usually. I didn't know about the NFL but it looks like he spent most of his career in NFL Europe and on practice squads, neither of which pay a ton.

His Wikipedia entry contained this tidbit of which I was also unaware:

As sherri says, they're poking fun at other commercials. At least it seems that way. They're saying that using Old Spice allows you to do absolutely anything and be great at everything. Basically saying that no matter what you do, it's going to be awesome and women will want you because of it. I look at it as making fun of Axe and the whole "spray this on and women will screw you anywhere, anytime" ads.
