Going back on the street...

Since my bikes are all track only now... I just have to go get the husband something *new* to play with. I'm going to take over the Monster project in our garage and get it going for myself. BUT, I found what I'm getting him. I'm SO excited, but won't spill it all until I get it on Saturday morning...

It's old. Almost as old as I am... 1973 *phew*

It's almost perfect... *grin*

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

I get to ride it before he does... he's at work :nee:

You've got to be kidding me with that shit... fucking awesome.

Pretty bike. The brake and shift on opposite sides will take some getting used to. A friend of mine had a beautiful black Interstate with the bigger gas tank. But red looks really nice. All I need to see now is the "Norton Girl", and I'll buy one.

Sweet bike.

PhiSig1071 05-04-2008 06:42 PM

WOW!

Beautiful!

I am looking at an old BSA that I would love to turn into a 'cafe. Old iron is awesome!

Honestly, if you had entered that into the PoTM contest I think I would have voted for it over my own picture!

I'm in love with this bike... if I could easily start it... or easily pull the clutch... shit, it's gloriously difficult :lmao:

Your husband may be the single luckiest guy in the world.

Azoom,

I HATE YOU SO BADLY!!!

THAT'S MY BIKE!!!

I've always wanted a cafe racered red Commando 850. The exhaust growl from those parallel twins are glorious. About close to two years ago, I was on my Aprilia riding in Newport Beach and up came this dude on an 850 red Commando and we both cruised a bit, blipping the throttles like squids, scaring the women, chillun and Hardly-Ableson riders alike.:pat:
