I took a Jason Pridmore school at Chuckwalla in Desert Center, CA this Sat and he gave rides 2-up for 2 laps (he has a special tank with handles on it). I took his same class 4 years ago and the did the same thing at Streets of Willow. Until you've ridden with a AMA pro racer (who knows how to ride with 2 people) you haven't lived. It seriously felt like we were sliding in every corner. I told him I took his class 4 years ago, so he wasn't holding back. Told me he was running aboiut 50% of his potential. Some other dude came back and said he was shaking...LOL..and Pridmore said he was only riding at 20%...hahaha. We were passing people in the Advanced group like they were standing still. It's amazing how smooth and controlled every downshift, upshift, tip in and throttle control was in comparison. It was also amazing how fast we got to each corner and how much brake was using well into the corner. I'm sure this pic wasn't the best lean angle. There were some corners I was like...don't think were gonna make it here, but pulled it off. He said the suspension was just working in a different range and he didn't drift, though the rear end got loose a bunch of times. I was hella impressed to say the least.

Oh yeah we were riding on STREET TIRES...DQs IIRC.

Those ... 3 little dots to say I could go on and have more to say but I spare ya? Is it gay? I'd have to what you say in a thread may be more easily construed as gay than what you dont say. Maybe only gay people regonize it as gay?

Or maybe it was going to be morse code for Help/ s.o.s and got cut off, i.e.

...---...

askmrjesus 05-09-2010 03:53 PM

I saw a really gay thread once.

It looked just like this.

I'm trying to post a picture from a file, but it just goes to a blank screen after I hit upload from the Manage Attachments. It's a small .jpg file which I renamed to a short name and located on the direct c:\..... And of course there is no delete thread option here.

Edit..the pic. is actually 3.51MB...I'll try to resize.

I took a 2 day Star school. Rode with Jason, lapped with Danny Eslick, Steve Mikolas from Sportrider Mag. Took set up from James Lickwar.

Learned 2 things:
1. I am not AMA material, these guys hustle.
2. I could be a magazine writer/tester.

Really good schools, wish I had taken it before I started racing competitively.

racedoll 05-09-2010 07:42 PM

I don't think it is gay, actually quite the opposite. I would love the opportunity to ride 2 up with someone like this.

Amber Lamps 05-09-2010 08:51 PM

Well did you find yourself noticing how Jason's ass brushed up against your cock during transitions?

karl_1052 05-09-2010 10:34 PM

Cool pic.
Is that you in the pic?

Didn't JP do that with a Kat 750 in the old days?

So much for the guys who claim they "need" race or DOT race tires for the track, lol

Cool post.

TYEster 05-10-2010 08:00 AM

GRex took and said the same thing about his school and going for a ride with him.

Seems like it'd be fun, and I don't call it gay. However I'd be real reserved about doing it simply because I don't like being out of control on something when I REALLY want it.(not a fan of rollercoasters either for this reason)

jtemple 05-10-2010 08:03 AM

I think it would be awesome. I just put the gay pic up because the "Is this gay?" question reminded me of it.

z06boy 05-10-2010 12:40 PM

I wouldn't ride on the back with any of you knuckleheads  unless my bike/cage was broken and I just needed the ride but he11 yeah I'd ride around the track with someone with his talent in a heartbeat.

the chi 05-10-2010 01:25 PM

Definitely not gay, I'd love to do something like that! You make him look really small tho.

fnfalman 05-10-2010 03:26 PM

It's only gay if you let go of the tank handle and grab Jason Pridmore's mid-section instead.

lol...he asked when I stated if I wanted to hold on to his waist or the tank handles...I'm like...uuhhhhh...the tank handles.:lol Which is probably better for leverage.

Where did he want you to hold on?:?:

Sean 05-10-2010 04:36 PM

Really want to try that track. Where do you stay when you go there?

I should be going on the 29th. We're just gonna leave Vegas real early, ride and then drive home. Where are you coming from?

Sean 05-10-2010 05:22 PM

LA-ish. I think I might stay at Morongo. Not doing the 400-mile round trip thing.

DLIT 05-10-2010 05:27 PM

I'm banking on adrenaline to carry me through the track day, lol. New track, I'll be too busy trying to get the right lines and whatnot. No time to realize how tired I should be, haha.

I drove from home (which I really hate, but oh well). The nearest hotels are in Indio, which is 50 miles away. The track is 143 miles from my house.

Vegas to the track is 228 miles one way....3 hours 38 minutes according to Mapquest. But the thing that sucks is that Indio is the closest to the track and that is another 50 miles west.

Ya, I was pricing hotels there once I found out. If my buddy is down, we're staying in a hotel, fuck that long of a drive.

Funny you ask. Greg White was there (Speed commentator) and I was talking to him about how much weight he lost. He says since he travels alot his eating was shit. I didn't want to get into the whole debate on what to eat on a plane, but the dude lost 37lbs over 2.5 years. Says he just does the pedal bike thing. You would think alot of these higher end up racing type guys would know how to train their body....they don't. lol

Hey bro, Captain Morgan needs someone to ride behind him to tighten up his ass...I immediately thought of you. Shoot him a pm if you would.

Is Greg White a racer? I thought he was just a tv commentator. The good racers are all fit--but they have to stay very light to keep the weight of the overall package down. Last I read Hayden was the heaviest in the paddock at 155. Rossi is 5'11 and 135; Pedrosa 5'2 & 105.

Where'd you get those numbers from?

I know Rossi is skinny but I didn't think he was THAT skinny.

Was a few years ago. At Laguna a few years back he was a STICK. Weights change.

He races WERA, not AMA. I think he said he is around 190-195 now.

Tsunami 05-15-2010 03:59 AM

Wow, I am heavier than Dani?? We are the same height

Rangerscott 05-15-2010 02:18 PM
