we went to the mexican restaurant and a had a tab of $0 and then to the bar where my tab was $0 dollars and this is why its nice to be well connected with the pulse of the town

My boss and I recently had a discussion about drinking and the dangers of hiding from your problems with alcohol. I am a recreational drinker and the only thing I seek to hide from is boredom.

also sometimes it helps to dumb myself down in order to communicate with some of the idiots I deal with. I dont really think it helps me get thru to them, or them understand. It just gives me a touch more patience and keeps alot of folks alive...

Alcahol generally helps to solve my problems, if nothing else it helps to get the creative juices flowing.

Today, at noon, I am leaving on a roadtrip for Boston for a fraternity national conference. I will be in Boston from tomorrow night-wednesday or thursday, then roadtripping back, then immediately going to a bachelor party. Yes, my life will be a blur for the next week and a half, and no, I don't feel like a bad person because of it.

I pay for my toys by getting ppl drunk, so I am not one to judge

You know, why the social stigma about drinking? Everyone does it, its advertised everywhere, cheaper than smoking, less health problems to boot. Only thing I see bad is driving under the influence or binge drinking, other than that I say game on.

I heard a comic one time explaining the concept of the angry drunk. He was saying alot of folks accuse people of acting like assholes when they drink. Comic says wrong! they were assholes to start with!

That's true.... I'm living proof. I'm the most awesome fun drunk in the world... as long as you're an asshole too... I like to fuck with people, but unlike most, I don't get all butthurt when someone reciprocates... that's when it's REAL fun.

I had a couple drinks tonight, they were very good! I would have liked to have had more, but I had to drive and am very much a light weight.

I have discovered that prescription pain meds are a far more effective way of getting loopy. While vicodin used to be a necessity, it is now just for fun and I heart it. :D

They are harder to come by than alcohol, but totally worth it. I just wish it didn't cost me a broken femur to get em. :lol:

Started with some Lost Lake beer. (marginal at best) Then went to Vodka/Capri Sun, not too bad. Mix in some shots of Patron Silver, and finish it off with Mich Golden (all we had left available) and it was a decent night.

We shall see what morning holds in store for us...

In cleveland now. We stopped in Indy at have a nice day cafe and got fucked up till about 4. Headed to manhattan tonight to party then off for Boston in the morning. I'm not driving at all today so I'm already about six beers deep. Next update to come tomorrow.

Yep, used to do that and eat it while tubing in Michigan. Drink a few beers, eat a couple pieces of watermelon, and watch all your worries drift away. :lol:

Watermelon with vodka is great. I've had it with Captain too, which imo, was better tasting.

First night in Boston was a success, but took it kinda easy since I'm dead fucking tired and will be here a few more days.

GM, you've never had watermelon prepared alcohol style? Have you lived in a cave your whole life? :lol: Maybe its a southern thing...another neat trick is to get a big plastic container, fill it up with all kinds of different alcohol, add fruit punch or koolaid and all kinds of fruit. One piece of pineapple and you feel pretty decent...2 or more and your down for the count! :wink:

I've never heard of it either. I like watermelon too much. And after Sunday....I don't really like alcohol anymore. :lol:

First time I had it I did not know the fruit was soaked in alcohol. I ate the fruit and didn't drink the puinch because I did not want to get drunk. Oops!

I vote yes for the watermelon (of which I'm a virgin too, and have never had it either) and no to vodka; yes to Captain. :D

btw, AA is for quiters...drinking is a marathon, not a sprint. The longer you do it the better you get at it...unless you're me and you'll drink anything, then you wake up the next day with amnesia and embarassing stories. :lol:

Driving home from Boston. In Akron Ohio now. Just finished my 8 hour shift and about to pass the fuck out. Stopping in Indiana or Illinois or wherever the hell we are when they start selling beer to finish out the drive.

No shit. I was in PA this past weekend, trying to find Yuengling for a friend was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Why can't they just sell beer at Wal-Mart like most everyone else?

The only way beer laws there could be worse is if they only sold 3.2 beer cold like Oklahoma does. At least in OK you can get it at wal-mart.

PA is the worst place to get booze. Liquor stores and beer distributors are the only places to get it other than a bar. In a bar, you can't carry out more than 2 6packs at once.

Stupid rules.

I have never understood why you would want to buy a 6 pack at the bar to take home. It's much cheaper to get it beforehand.

Well it started with Honey Moon today. Now on to Captain Morgan Tattoo and Coke. In a couple hours it will turn into cheap beer and binge drinking around large quantities of females in bikinis for a bachelor party.

No one "wants" to buy an overpriced 6 pack at a bar. For various reasons not everyone knows how much beer they will need for that night when they have to make final quantity decisions by 9pm. Someone may also only want a 6 pack while beer distributors can only sell by the case (24) or the keg. The rules in PA are annoying. They also make me happy that I live in a state with few restrictions.

I was drinking stuff that had a scorpion in the bottle and I am not comppletly sure its legal in all 50 states

I always over estimate so that I don't run out. lol

so today, with a completely free, open bar, we got VIP tours of LP field, and had a damn good day, after pulling 48 hours of bar tending and in the lab it felt great to represent our bar, by being the last ones there and had the front table @ the MillerCoors LP field Titans expo today!
