The OTA Froyo for droid incredible has been leaked. Everything works, no more glitchy editions.

I am running it right now and it is the goodness.

Much like MC info, this would be the last place I search for Droid info.

Everything works its the official update before it comes out.

Well I did the unrevoked root the other day, so I'm going to give this a shot and see how it goes. I haven't loaded any ROMs, I'm just using LauncherPro plus.

You need the radio leak as well.

Wait a minute...do I have to Unroot and completely erase my phone, then upload the radio update, re-root and then upgrade to 2.2.?

Eh, step #2 of the radio update, "Go to the bootloader" WTF is a bootloader? :lol: It was at that point I realized I need to leave it alone. :lol:

In fact, I'm wishing I wouldn't have even rooted...now I don't know how I'm going to get 2.2 on here. Fuck. I just had to have that Goddamn LED flashlight...

It's stupid simple. Power off the phone. Press the power button and volume down button at the same time.

I'm not a phone expert, so the last place I'd want to search is a Droid board where 99% of the threads would be way beyond my league.

So I'm going to copy everything in my SD card and past it into a folder on my PC for a backup, then I'm going to format my SD card into Fat32. Then I'm going to put the radio update file on there and proceed...we'll see.

My phone makes phone calls.

WOOHOO. Successfully got it back to stock, installing 2.2 now.

The 3g hotspot is awesome. I can see this coming in handy on moto trips.

Well, it would be pretty cool if I was willing to pay their monthly fee for it anyway..:lol:

I've got AT in about a week. Gotta dig up the droid drivers for tethering and maybe a gps grid nav app :D

Really? I'm rooted and when I tried to use the hotspot my laptop went to Verizon's sign up page.

There must be other programs out there eh....

Dave if you go to Droid-life.com and click root... the saphire version of Froyo they have has the 1ghz kernal in it!

it also has a bunch of cool tweaks added in. I put it on my new replacement phone and have had absolutely no issues

Tethering now and it's free.....but kinda slow....

I dunno man, I really like frf84b. Still kinda leery of homemade tweeks :lol: went through and set up a bunch of profiles for set cpu so its spending much more time at 800 now,

Thats such a cop-out. My brother uses the same bs line. These things really do make life so much easier. Not to mention how much fun you can have on them.

this was a tweak done by one of the larger groups that do all the rooting and what not.

I still had a couple issues with frf84b... minor ones... but they all seem to be fixed with this version. other than my beautiful home widget doesn't show the weather anymore :idk:

still can't get my wireless to work right... even in stock form. I can connect... but if I try to then get on the internet, I always get an error like i've got no connection. if I disable wifi then my 3g kicks in and I'm fine... but enable wifi and i loose 3g and shit doesn't display or errors out.:scratch:

one of the oc threads had a wifi fix, have you tried that? what issues did you have with frf?

2.2 seems to be running sublime on the incredible. Shit is fast. Loving it.

Should be even faster than mine! You lucky dog!

So when will this be officially released for update? I'll just wait for that, I don't do all this phone hacking shit you guys are into.

With all these unoffical installations you guys are downloading, how do you know they aren't putting malware on your phone?

Never did get wireless tether to work, looks like a kernel issue for 2.2.

I wonder if this is really the official version.... I thought the camera was going to be upgraded too...

It's got some bugs in it that are pretty big for a release version, I don't think it's going to be the final. It's stable, but some of the apps don't function right and a large portion of the market is unavailable to this one.

wireless tether works and the camera is very upgraded with Froyo, along with the maps and most everything else... your update is coming soon fwiw...

just ran a senseless froyo rom, I wasn't too happy with launcher or adw launcher, going back to sense. It just makes more sense for me.

Damn man, I got snookered! :lol; I thought everything was a go. Same old camera without scene settings, as you mentioned many apps don't work, including Google Sky =(

Here's a 720p video sample from the dog park today. Pretty damn good....I was especially impressed with how quickly the camera adjusts to different lighting. Be sure to press the 720p button on the vid to get the full effect.

This will fix most of the issues with the market and you should get most of your apps back. Google Sky still won't install.
